Officers responding to an apartment home about 1 p.m. Leon Perry had called 911 and was incoherent before putting on the phone a child who told dispatchers they needed help. Officers arrived at the complex, Seminole Hills, and Perry began yelling that people were going to get him. A 7-year-old boy who was bound by his wrists and neck came to police from the apartment. Officers untied him, and he said there had been an argument and that his mother had been assaulted. Officers heard a gunshot and entered the apartment. When they got inside, Perry pushed Blades' lifeless, bound body down the stairs. During a confrontation, officers shot and killed Perry and rescued a 4-year-old girl, also bound.

The Lyndhurst Police Department received a phone call at approximately 8:07 a.m. requesting that police check on the welfare of a man. When a uniformed officer arrived at the home, he encountered the resident in front of his house. The resident was armed with a handgun, which he allegedly fired at the officer. The officer shot at, but did not strike the man. The resident then shot and killed himself on the sidewalk.

Police attempted a traffic stop on Nicholas Smith after they were informed he was possibly involved in a residential disturbance nearby. Police said Smith exited the vehicle with a gun and shot an officer. Police shot and killed Smith.

Jacob Bergquist opened fire at the Boise Towne Square shopping center, fatally shooting two people and wounding four others. Responding officers then exchanged gunfire outside of the mall with Bergquist, killing him.

Police responded to a domestic violence call. Kramer had reportedly been drinking and was armed with a sword, threatening to kill a woman inside the home. Kramer had reportedly harmed himself. Police spoke with Kramer for several minutes and convinced Kramer to open the door. Kramer allegedly grabbed the sword and moved toward officers with it over his head. An officer reportedly used a Taser and bean bag projectile, and another officer shot and killed Kramer.

Police responded at 3:31 p.m. to a 911 call reporting a woman had shown up at a neighbor's house suffering from gunshot wounds. The woman told police that she fled her home after being shot several times by her husband. Following an hours-long standoff, police entered the house around 6:45 p.m. and found Robert Neibarger dead of a self-inflicted gunshot.

Police responded to a dispute between a landlord and tenant. Upon arrival, they encountered Koffi Dzima who allegedly was armed with a pickaxe and hammer. Dzima approached officers holding the weapons, and one officer tasered him. Dzima hit an officer over the head with the hammer, and police shot and killed him.

Lake County deputies were dispatched to a residence after Scott Wright allegedly told dispatchers he was going to kill someone. Upon arrival, deputies were confronted by Wright, who was allegedly restraining a 60-year-old woman at gunpoint. He released the woman and returned inside The woman told deputies that Wright went to her residence and confronted her about matters involving their relationship. Around 3 a.m., he allegedly assaulted her, including stabbing her. For the next four to five hours, police spoke repeatedly to Wright, who reportedly would appear in the windows and garage area armed with a long gun and a handgun. Wright allegedly began starting fires inside the home around 9 a.m. He exited the home while it was engulfed in smoke and entered the backyard with the long gun in hand. As Wright got some distance from the house, officers fired non-lethal rounds. Wright allegedly raised his rifle and leveled it at the officers, who shot and killed him.

Zachary Snow's mother called Boise police asking them to find her son and help him as he was threatening his own life. At approximately 5:05 p.m. police received another call regarding a suicidal person on I-84 threatening to jump off of a building/overpass. Two officers found him in a parking lot. He allegedly made a deadly threat, and they shot and killed him. Officers M. Jacobs and C. Snodderly shot and killed Snow.

Police responded to reports of shots fired and reportedly encountered Dewey Wilfong walking around with a handgun. A deputy shot and killed Wilfong. Details as to what precipitated the killing have been withheld by police.

Deputies responded to a home for a welfare check. Upon arrival, deputies found the man suicidal and armed with a gun. After about nine minutes, the man shot and killed himself.

Police responded to a 911 caller who reported being assaulted by an armed man just after 3:30 p.m. Police arrived and shot and killed Joseph Endicott. Details as to what precipitated the killing have been withheld by police.

Police were called at 5:11 p.m. when Glenn William Custer was at a home. When troopers arrived, they found Custer was erratic and armed with a knife, police said. Custer refused commands to drop the knife and instead began moving toward occupied residences. Police said Custer was still refusing to drop the knife when he walked back toward the home the incident began in and toward a trooper, who shot and killed him.

On July 26, 2021, around 8:50 p.m., LAPD officers responded to a radio call of a man holding a knife. As officers arrived, they saw Samuel Soto, holding a knife. Soto was told to drop the knife, however he failed to comply. Soto charged at one of the officers, and an officer shot him. Soto was struck by gunfire, fell to the ground, and dropped the knife. Soto stood up and chased officers. As additional officers arrived, Soto removed a cell phone from his pants pocket. An officer ordered Soto to drop the phone and shot him again. He died on Nov. 2, 2021.

Larayah Foreman was shot and killed, and a uniformed off-duty officer saw the shooting and followed the suspect car. But the suspects noticed the officer following them and started firing at him. The officer's car was disabled by the gunfire, so he pulled over and waited for other officers to arrive. Police said the officer did not return fire as the suspects fled.

Troopers from Post 6 in Dry Ridge responded to a 911 call on Chipman Ridge Road in Williamstown when they shot and killed Gary Bressler around 1:45 a.m. Details as to what precipitated the killing have been withheld by police.

Police responded to reports of an person screaming and pounding on cars. Upon arrival, police said Jose Cortez got into a vehicle and drove away. Cortez reportedly sideswiped a patrol car. Cortez eventually abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Police caught up to him and said Cortez moved toward them. An officer deployed a Taser which was reportedly not effective. Police alleged Cortez moved toward officers while reaching near his rear waistband. Police shot and killed Cortez. Cortez was unarmed.

Aaron Troy Michael Rehn allegedly shot at an officer. Rehn fatally shot himself during a police search.

A suicidal man's mother called police. He was inside a convenience store who had cut himself. An officer and Derek Collins went outside into the parking lot. Collins allegedly grabbed a passing cyclist and held a knife to his throat. The officer shot and killed Collins.

A security guard at a Walmart requested police reporting that a man pointed a firearm at him and threatened to shoot responding police officers. Police found Derrell Lamar Raney in the parking lot, and he allegedly pointed a firearm at them. Police shot and killed Raney.

Police attempted to pull over a vehicle associated with an aggravated assault, suspected abduction, and suspected DUI. The vehicle reportedly did not pull over and eventually went on the interstate. State police knocked the vehicle off the road, and the vehicle overturned. Amity Jo Grey, 47, was killed on impact. Brian Price, 45, reportedly ran from the vehicle, and troopers eventually caught up to him. A fight reportedly began, and a trooper shot and killed Price.

Officer Caleb Sherman reportedly attempted to stop a vehicle about 2:40 a.m. One of its occupants, allegedly Cory Gene Batt, fired at least one shot, striking Sherman in the leg. Batt was shot and killed in a wooded area near the end of the foot pursuit.

Police were attempting to execute a warrant in connection with a homicide investigation. As officers were executing the warrant, Mark Walker moved into a room of the apartment and shot one of the officers in the lower leg as the officer approached the room. The officers fled outside the apartment, and Walker barricaded himself inside. Around 2 a.m., a fire started in the apartment, and Walker fled the building, discharging a gun as he exited. Officers Eric Voorand of the Manalapan Township Police Department, Daniel Murphy of the Howell Township Police Department, and Omar Akel of the Middletown Township Police Department shot and killed him.

Police responded to a domestic dispute at the Marc at Brookhaven Apartments. After police made multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact the person, police entered the apartment and found the man dead from an apparent self inflicted gunshot.

Police were dispatched to a protection-from-abuse violation. While police were there,Andrew Dzwonchyk reportedly showed up in his vehicle. A struggle began while troopers were attempting to arrest him. Dzwonchyk allegedly drove at and dragged a trooper with the vehicle. Troopers shot and killed Dzwonchyk.

Troopers responded to a car crash and attempted to communicate with a driver. Timothy reportedly shot a dog in the car, and troopers shot and killed him.

Police responded to a report of a person with a weapon. Upon arrival, Angie McFarland allegedly pointed a gun at an officer. The officer shot and killed her.

Around 3:45, an employee of the Pita Way Mediterranean Grill brought a gun to the restaurant, but didn't go inside. The person barricaded themselves inside their car, police responded and the person shot and killed themselves during the standoff.

Dagoberto Jimenez allegedly carjacked an off-duty officer. Police pursued until Jimenez crashed into a school on Amador Avenue, then reportedly shot and killed himself.

Brian Astarita was pulled over by police allegedly for speeding in a gray Jeep Cherokee around 4 p.m. But as the officer approached the car, he fled. The officer pursued Astarita, who rammed the patrol car when she stopped in front of the Jeep. Astarita reportedly went to the back seat to grab a BB gun and walked toward officers on the highway, and officers shot and killed him.

At 11:05 p.m., officers responded to the Garden Walk Apartments upon reports that a person was parked in the lot and sleeping in his vehicle. When officers ran the plate number, the vehicle came back as stolen. When officers arrived, Gerry Cooper failed to comply with commands and drove off, hitting parked vehicles, including two patrol vehicles. An officer with the Gunnison Police Department allegedly was dragged by his vehicle, and police shot and killed Cooper.

Officers responded around 9:39 p.m. for a check person call. Seth Rynio was reported to be intoxicated and causing a disturbance, and police were called after he left a restaurant. A park ranger drove to the east side of Barnes & Noble, where Rynio allegedly shot at the ranger. The park ranger reportedly was hit by several bullets. Two officers shot and killed Rynio.

Police responded to reports of a man reportedly lighting items on fire and throwing them at gas pumps. Upon arrival, a deputy reportedly got in a fight with the man. During the fight, a woman reportedly exited a car with a knife. Police allege the woman stabbed the deputy. The deputy shot at both individuals, killing the woman, Wendy Carolina Flores De Roque.

Isaac Bell was shot after Biloxi police responded to a report of a man threatening people with a knife in a parking lot near Edgewater Mall around 2:30 p.m. A struggle began between Bell and an officer after Bell ran into an apartment complex courtyard. Bell and the officer were taken to a hospital for their injuries. Bell died a week later.

Carlos Ortega, 38, shot and killed Rafael Jeffers, 33, the owner of The Bladi Style barber shop, before being shot dead by an off-duty police officer, who was getting his haircut by another stylist. Less than an hour earlier, he killed Javier Villegas Cotto and injured another, unnamed victim, in two separate attacks nearby. At 3:16 p.m., the unidentified officer was getting his hair cut when Ortega entered with a weapon and fatally shot the owner.

Police responded to a call from code enforcement personnel who were at a home for a property abatement matter. A man allegedly threatened the code enforcement personnel with a firearm. Police shot and killed the man.

Police reportedly observed Brent Boggess driving recklessly and said he attempted to hit a patrol car. Officers stopped Boggess' vehicle. Police alleged that Boggess refused to get out of the car and instead rammed a patrol car. Officer Ken Schaaf shot and killed Boggess.

Deputies responded to a report of a child being taken from their home at knifepoint. Upon arrival, deputies reportedly saw Henry Duncan holding a knife to the child's throat and making threats. The child was released. Deputies shot and killed Duncan.

Police responded to a burglar alarm at a business. Upon arrival, they allegedly were confronted by a person with a weapon. Police shot and killed Bennie Foster.

Christopher James Aikens, 54, a prisoner at Blair County Jail, was to appear in Central Court in Altoona, for a 3:15 p.m. hearing when he allegedly assaulted corrections officer Rhonda Jean Russell and took her gun. An Altoona officer in the court building responded and fired one round at the prisoner, but shot and killed Russell.

Officers responded to a call of a burglary in progress, and when they arrived, they encountered Sylvester Tart, who reportedly barricaded himself in a closet. When Tart was told to come out, he began firing through the door. Officers shot and killed Tart.

Police responded to reports of a man armed with a kitchen knife threatening people. Police shot and killed Ajmal Amani when he allegedly charged at them.

Fred O'Bannon, a construction worker, reportedly asked Keyshaun J. Stewart, 25, to get off the highway because they were about to start working. O'Bannon was sitting in his car on I-264 getting ready to start his shift. An off-duty officer was blocking the expressway at 2:30 a.m. Stewart allegedly shot O'Bannon in the head. He then shot and wounded the officer through his patrol car window, hitting him in the left cheek.

Police responded to reports of a carjacking, caught up to the suspect and pursued.The person allegedly tried to ram a patrol vehicle. Police shot and killed the man.

Deputies were flagged down by a Metro rail patron who told them a man had just been shot on the C-Line Platform at the Metro station. Four deputies spotted the gunman waiting on the platform. He jumped down to the eastbound rail tracks and fired a handgun at the deputies, and the deputies shot and wounded him. The suspect walked up behind Koliba and shot him in the back of his head. Reports of this death are so convoluted it's impossible to tell the sequence of events and whether deputies were present when Koliba was killed.

Officers received a call about a domestic assault outside of town. Two Centerville officers and an Appanoose County sheriff's deputy shot and killed Kevin Arbogast. Details as to what precipitated the killing were withheld by police.

Police performed a welfare check on a man at a home. Police allege Frank Nappa Jr. exited the home with a rifle and pointed it at officers before going back inside. He reportedly came out another two times, and the third time, Nappa allegedly aimed a rifle in their direction. At least one officer shot and killed him.

U.S. Marshals were attempting to serve an arrest warrant. Officers allege the person ran away from officers and produced a firearm. Officers shot and killed the person. The officer who killed the person was a West Covina police officer assigned to the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Officers were called about 2:35 p.m., after the suspect allegedly shot Gevork Minissian, 70. Devin Edward Hall allegedly tried to flee from police by jumping into a woman's car and attempting to carjack her. However, the man was unable to steal the car and exchanged gunfire with police before running onto Sunnyslope Avenue. Hall allegedly attempted to carjack a second woman, but again failed to steal the vehicle and held the woman at gunpoint until he was cornered by police. The man exchanged fire with police and was shot and killed.

A man allegedly shot his girlfriend during a domestic dispute. The shooting reportedly happened about 3 a.m. Deputies said the man then barricaded himself inside the home and shot and killed himself.

Officers were surveilling a vehicle that had been mentioned in previous drug investigations. Officers approached the vehicle and came in contact with German Pedraza. Pedraza allegedly pulled out a pistol. While telling Pedraza to put the gun down, an officer shot and killed Pedraza.

Around 11:30 a.m. officers responded to a call about a man with a gun. Patrol officers found a woman with a fatal gunshot wound inside a neighbor's garage. Officers determined that a nearby home was involved. When they approached the house, officers heard what appeared to be a gunshot inside the residence. When they entered the house , they found the man dead of a self-inflicted gunshot.

Police were pursuing a vehicle thought to be involved in an earlier robbery. During the chase, a passenger allegedly shot at officers. Police shot at the vehicle, which crashed. One passenger, Christean "Christy" Ann Dimas, was killed.

Police responded to reports of a domestic dispute with a weapon. Shawn Smith allegedly engaged with an officer. The officer shot and killed Smith. Details as to what precipitated the killing were withheld by police.

Anthony Oliver allegedly shot three people at Kalamazoo bus station. Kalamazoo police arrived about two minutes after the first 911 call. Officers shot and killed Oliver.

Officers responded to a home at around 1:30 p.m. after calls of an armed suspect, who had a protection order against him, was threatening a person. Bradley George Erickson fled from officers who attempted a traffic stop. Officers pursued Erickson, until Forest Lake Officers Jonathan Glader and Matthew Smith and Washington County Sheriff's Deputy Greg Reiter shot and killed him.

Police attempted to stop Dylan Bush as they believed he was driving while intoxicated. Bush reportedly did not stop, police pursued. Bush stopped in a business parking lot. A deputy went in front of the vehicle, and Bush allegedly drove forward, pinning the deputy between Bush's vehicle and a patrol cruiser. The deputy then shot and killed Bush. Bush's vehicle went forward for several hundred feet before crashing into another unoccupied vehicle after Bush was shot.

Police responded to reports of a car burglary. Upon arrival, two men fled. Police caught up to one person who they said was driving a U-Haul truck. The person allegedly drove the U-Haul toward officers. Police shot and killed the man.

Police were called to a construction zone after someone from a state agency reportedly saw a suspicious vehicle on surveillance cameras. As they approached the vehicle, the person allegedly armed himself. Police shot and killed the person. The person was reportedly employed on the construction site and had brought a gun to work after noticing people trespassing on the job site.

Police responded to a report of shots fired at a shopping area. Shortly after, there was a report of an armed robbery, and a man told officers someone had pointed a gun at him. Police encountered an employee of the Merwin Liquors store who said Kelley was alone inside. Police confronted Kelley and shot and killed him.

Police responded to a domestic violence call. Upon arrival, they encountered two people who had been shot. Arthur Gilliam allegedly shot at officers. Police shot and killed Gilliam.

Police responded to a disturbance/weapon theft call at a home. Police reportedly found a person in a back bedroom and attempted to get the individual to come out. Officers entered the room, and the person allegedly produced a handgun and fired at officers. Police shot and killed him.

Edward Gatling reportedly shot two deputies with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office. Police later found Gatling hiding in the woods after a caller reported a suspicious person. Police shot and killed Gatling.

Police were looking for Anei Gabriel Joker in relation to a rape and robbery case. Upon arrival, police found Joker in an SUV outside of a convenience store, along with an infant in the vehicle. Joker reportedly refused to exit the vehicle or release the child to police. Joker later released the infant from the SUV, but Joker remained inside. Joker left the vehicle and shot two officers. Police shot and killed Joker.

Police responded to reports of a man with a gun. Upon arrival, police claim a man holding two guns approached them and began firing. Two officers shot and killed Brian Howard.

Pilot Rock police requested help from the sheriff's office in locating and checking on a 28-year-old man. Police pinged his phone, which showed he was in the Irrigon area. Deputies reported seeing the man driving 12 mph over the speed limit. Deputies stopped the vehicle on Paterson Ferry Road, and as three deputies approached the vehicle, they heard a gunshot. The man had shot and killed himself.

About 2:40 p.m., police were called to a shooting, where a 20-year-old man was found on the ground and had suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The gunman fled, and officers put out a vehicle description to surrounding agencies. A vehicle matching the description was found on Interstate 94 by two Stearns County deputies. Deputies tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled east on Interstate 94. The Minnesota State Patrol and the Wright County Sheriff's Office assisted in the pursuit, which ended near Monticello after police set out road spikes to deflate the vehicle's tires. When officers approached, the person inside appeared to have a fatal self-inflicted gunshot.

Ruben Sanchez was suspected of killing a woman the previous weekend. He was tracked to the Woodville Cemetery. Sanchez fired at deputies, and deputies shot and killed him.

Deputies were dispatched to a report of a domestic violence incident. They requested the sheriff's helicopter fly over the neighborhood, and spotted an SUV believed to be the Fidel Bedolla's. Deputies found Bedolla seated in the front seat, and report that he eventually left the SUV and raised a handgun at deputies, who shot and killed him.

Deputies had stopped Lance Stelzer, who was riding a moped. A fight between Stelzer and Deputy Martin Folczyk broke out during the traffic stop. Stelzer allegedly sprayed Folczyk with wasp/hornet killer. Folczyk shot and killed Stelzer.

Ramon Alex Tocabens shot and killed himself around 7:15 a.m. after being served a warrant on child abuse and neglect charges.

Around 5 a.m., several officers responded to a disturbance involving a backhoe and found Joshua Gonzalez operating the construction equipment at the Penn Lincoln Mobile Home Park. The officers attempted for around 30 minutes to stop Gonzalez. During that time, the backhoe caused damage to several residences and vehicles. While the officers were attempting to stop Gonzalez, Officer Louis Platania shot and killed him.

Police were called about 7 p.m. when a man forced his way into his ex-wife's home during a fight. While the ex-wife was able to get out, the man held her 13-year-old daughter at knifepoint inside. When officers arrived, one officer shot and killed the man. The girl, however, was stabbed several times by the man.

At 5:57 p.m., police said they received calls about Nakita Williams waving a gun at customers and employees at the entrance of a Sunoco gas station. Four Detroit police officers responded. Williams was pointing an Airsoft gun at customers when police arrived. The officers shot and killed her.

About 4:10 a.m., uniformed officers responded to reports of a man armed with a knife and a gun. Upon arrival, the officers spotted the man carrying a knife in one hand, with his other hand concealed in a coat pocket. Following a foot pursuit during which attempts were made to incapacitate Eudes Pierre with Tasers, Pierre allegedly rushed at officers, and officers shot and killed him. He was armed with a folding knife with a three-inch blade.

About 7 p.m., license plate scanners picked up a vehicle connected to a wanted felon. Officers found the driver and tried to stop him, but police said he drove roughly two miles away and crashed near Travis Air Force Base. Fairfield police shut down the intersection to try to communicate with the driver. When he didn't respond, they said officers approached the vehicle and discovered he was dead of a self-inflicted gunshot.

Brendan Pinkston was allegedly trespassing with a gun when a caller reported him to 911. He left the property before police arrived. Four officers -- three from the Burton Police Department and one sheriff's deputy -- responded. The officers and deputy found Pinkston. He fled on foot and allegedly fired at police, injuring Burton Police Officer Dalton Christie and Genesee County Sheriff's Deputy Brandon Fachting. Police shot and killed Pinkston.

Deputies responded around 6:52 p.m. to a call about a woman threatening to harm herself. When deputies arrived, a man came out of the home and told deputies that Chantel Myers, was threatening to harm herself with a firearm and had fired one shot inside the home. The man also gave deputies a suicide note handwritten by Myers. Deputies used a public address system to communicate with Myers. Myers remained inside for a while, making verbal threats toward the deputies, before allegedly coming out of the home with a firearm. Myers allegedly advanced toward the deputies in an aggressive manner while continuing to threaten to harm them. Myers got between the two patrol units the deputies were using for cover, then raised her weapon and pursued one of the deputies around the vehicle. The deputy shot and killed Myers.

Deputies responded to a call about a drug overdose at about 3:30 p.m. When deputies arrived, they found Robert Rushton inside his vehicle, which was stuck in mud. As he exited the vehicle, Rushton had a knife in each hand, and deputies ordered him to drop the knives. Rushton reportedly continued to approach the deputies with the knives, and the deputies shot and killed him.

Albion Department of Public Safety officers attempted to pull over Brian Laxton for not having plates. Laxton fled west on Interstate 94, and police pursued. Laxton allegedly shot at police. The chase ended when a Calhoun County deputy ran into Laxton's car. He ran from the car with a handgun, attempting to enter an occupied home. Officer Christof Klein told Laxton to drop the gun, but Laxton turned toward Klein with the gun in hand, and Klein shot and killed him.

A trooper responded to a 911 call regarding a report of a domestic dispute. The trooper entered Mark A. Beilby's home. Beilby allegedly confronted the officer with a knife and failed to comply with an order to disarm. He advanced toward the trooper, who shot and killed him.

Ronald Hoffman showed up at a house with a rifle. Police alleged that he ignored their commands to drop the weapon and then fled into a wooded area. A state trooper shot and killed him.

Valentina Orellana-Peralta, 14, was killed when police opened fire on Daniel Elena Lopez, 24, just before noon on the second floor of a North Hollywood clothing store. Lopez, who allegedly assaulted a woman, was also killed by police.

Police were called about 7 p.m. when Kokou Christopher Fiafonou forced his way into his ex-wife's home during a fight. While the ex-wife was able to get out, the man held her 13-year-old daughter at knifepoint inside. When officers arrived, one officer shot and killed Fiafonou. The girl was stabbed several times by the man.

Police shot and killed outside a Walmart at about 6:50 p.m. An officer approached the driver's side for unspecified reasons, and a shot reportedly rang out from inside the pickup. The officer shot and killed Steven Matze.

At about 1 p.m., a loss prevention officer at a Walmart confronted Benny Antonio Hood, who allegedly had put items into a backpack and was attempting to leave the store without paying. When two DeKalb police officers, one of whom was working an off-duty job at the store, confronted Hood, he fired a handgun. One of the officers attempted to subdue the man with a stun gun. After Hood ran outside the store holding his gun, one of the officers shot and killed him.

Officers went to arrest Malik Rogers on on a domestic violence charges. He did not comply when they made contact with him inside his apartment. Both officers reportedly tried to subdue him with Tasers, but Rodgers locked himself in a bathroom. When the officers forced their way into the bathroom, Rogers had a gun pointed at them and fired multiple shots, hitting one in the arm, and the other in the leg. Rogers reportedly shot and killed himself.

Cesar Juarez Avila was killed by a self-inflicted gunshot after fleeing an Interstate 81 rest area where he shot his girlfriend and three men who intervened in a fight between the couple. He shot himself when police disabled his vehicle.

Around 6 p.m., officers were called by firefighters requesting backup regarding a man armed with a knife, police said. Enrique Ruiz did not follow orders and continued to approach an officer while holding the knife. At least one officer shot and killed him.

Deputies were called about a domestic-related incident around 8:30 p.m. When they arrived, deputies said they learned Matthew David Snyder had left. Deputies said the armed man was found and negotiations took place for about 45 minutes, until he was shot an killed about 11 p.m.

Officers responded to a report of a person with a handgun. Upon arrival, officers learned Christopher Thomas had allegedly fired several shots toward a home then fled on foot. Later that night, Thomas returned to the same hme and fired multiple shots striking one of the occupants in the foot. Officers found Thomas at another residence about 3 a.m. They ordered Thomas to surrender. Thomas fired at officers from inside. He came out of the home through the front door armed with a handgun and wearing body armor. He went back into the home and fired at officers while standing in the front doorway. Officers shot and killed him.

Lyndon McLeod, 47, went on a shooting rampage across Denver, allegedly killing Alicia Cardenas, Alyssa Gunn-Maldonado and Michael Swinyard. He then traveled to Lakewood, where he killed Danny Scofield. McLeod traveled to the Belmar shopping area, where he shot and killed Sarah Steck, 28. At several points throughout the rampage, McLeod exchanged gunfire with both Lakewood police and Denver police. McLeod then encountered Lakewood Officer Ashley Ferris. Ferris ordered McLeod to drop his weapon as he approached her. He ignored her commands and shot Ferris in the abdomen. Ferris shot and killed McLeod.

Police spotted a 2018 Chevy Silverado around 11:20 p.m. and attempted to perform a traffic stop. Roberto Salgado fled from police in the vehicle. The pursuit ended around 3 a.m. The truck, which had OnStar, was disabled through that system. When the truck was stopped, Salgado got out and there was an exchange of gunfire between him and two Escondido police officers. Salgado was shot and killed. He was being sought for a shooting.

Police received a 911 call around 7 p.m. from a family member of Deputy Christopher Former. The person said Former had called a family member and made suicidal threats over the phone. Deputies went to Former's home in Ruskin and made contact with him briefly. Former then barricaded himself inside his home and shot and killed himself.
