Eden Prairie police responded to a 911 call of cars racing in the area of Flying Cloud Drive and Crosstown Circle around 1:40 a.m. When police pulled up, they say the drivers involved drove away, and officers began to chase one of the vehicles. Officers reportedly lost sight of the vehicle near the 494 overpass, but found it a short time later crashed. Driver Devlyn Glen Voss, 19, and passenger Marina Emms, 19, were killed.

About 3:30 p.m., a Garland police officer stopped the driver of a Honda Accord. When the officer reportedly found evidence of drugs inside the car, the driver, Bobby Lee Murphy, 37, sped away. Police pursued Murphy, who also had two passengers in the car, but lost him as he drove north on Garland Avenue. Another officer spotted Murphy, who drove through a red light at an intersection and hit a silver Toyota. The driver of the Toyota, Karla Rico, was killed. Her son was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Around 12:04 p.m., the Linn County Sheriff's Office received a call about a domestic dispute involving a woman trying to jump out of a vehicle. A deputy made contact with the vehicle at around 12:23 p.m. and observed the female passenger still in the car. He attempted to pull over the vehicle, but the vehicle did not stop, and the deputy pursued. At around 12:27 p.m., the deputy decided that the driver of the vehicle he was chasing was acting too recklessly and reportedly ended the chase. About a minute later, the deputy reported seeing debris flying in the air after an apparent collision. The deputy saw that the Nissan Altima had crossed the center line and hit a northbound dump truck in Walford. Leo Alan Ray, 35, and Stacey Lynn Watts, 35, in the Altima were ejected from the vehicle and were killed.

Seward County Sheriff's Office's dispatch center got a call about 10 a.m. about an SUV on Interstate 80 driving slowly and swerving. At the Seward exit, a deputy spotted the white Hyundai Santa Fe and tried to stop it. But the SUV fled, and during the pursuit, the deputy learned the SUV had been reported stolen June 1 in Harrison County, Iowa. Fernandez Bonilla lost control, causing the SUV to leave the gravel road and enter the west ditch, throwing both him and his passenger. Jasmin Casique-Negrete died immediately. Julio Fernandez Bonilla, 19, pleaded no contest to manslaughter for the crash that killed Casique-Negrete.

His passengers Jay'Oni Leonard, 14, Alexia Simpson, 17, were killed as were Elizabeth Anderson, 62, and George Nienhouse, 65, the driver and passenger in the other vehicle. Garrett was charged as an adult in four counts of vehicular homicide and DUI manslaughter.

Police responded to several 911 calls about two cars racing When police tracked them down at a red light, the officer wrote that another car tried to block his patrol car, while the other two vehicles took off on Holcomb Bridge Road. Police pursued at speeds up to 120 miles per hour before a supervisor told the officer to call off the chase. Reportedly, 10 seconds later, one of the cars careened off the road, and two people inside were both thrown from it. Dahian Pena was killed, while an 18-year-old passenger was seriously injured.

Police responded to a restaurant for a man with a knife who was trying to start a fight with an employee. Officers made contact with the man who initially complied with their orders, then took off running, leading police on a chase. The man then jumped a freeway wall and was hit by a vehicle on U.S. 95.

The driver of a reportedly stolen pickup truck, Chase Hammonds, 25, headed the wrong way on Highway 70 while trying to evade a sheriff's office vehicle and struck two other vehicles. Cary Ojeda, 55, and her daughter, Deanna Hernandez, 36, were killed. Hammonds suffered minor injuries in the crash. Hammonds faces two counts of murder, along with charges of vehicle theft, evading police, crossing a divided highway and hit-and-run.

Officers were responding to a burglary in progress at a marijuana dispensary. When officers arrived, they located multiple vehicles leaving at a high rate of speed. When officers attempted to stop the vehicles, the vehicles fled, and officers pursued. One of the vehicles crashed into a tree about 3 miles away from Light Sky Court. Amelian Tremond Houff was killed.

Officer Robert Ferraro was arrested in Las Vegas for showing signs of impairment after the Rolls Royce he was driving crashed and killed Joshua Castellano.

At about 10:30 p.m., deputies pursued a vehicle at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was initiated with the vehicle accelerating to over 100 mph and failing to yield. At 10:31 the pursuit reportedly was canceled due to road conditions. About three minutes later, the vehicle was located at a single-vehicle rollover wreck. Harley Wayne Hill, 24, and Abagale Victorine Holladay, 25, were killed.

Rodney Drake Key was pursued at high speeds by multiple agencies on a 2005 Suzuki GSXR 600 motorcycle traveling north on Center Point Parkway. He crashed and was killed.

Troy Allen Engstrom, who was a suspect in a felony domestic assault, shot at a pursuing officers, hitting one officer's vehicle just above the driver's side windshield, and a Ramsey County deputy's vehicle just below the driver's side windshield. Ramsey County Deputy Donald Rindal rammed Engstrom with his car, killing him.

Around 1:30 a.m., the Zavala County Sheriff's Office heard a call from the Crystal City Police Department. The officer with CCPD was in pursuit of a white Chevy Camaro that was traveling north toward La Pryor. The deputy deployed a tire deflection device and the Camaro rolled over, crashed and was engulfed in flames. Driver Gabriel Salazar, 19, and passengers Jose Luis Jimenez-Mora, 41, Jose Molina-Lara, 23, and Sergio Espinoza-Flores, 36, were killed.

A relative of a Bosque County boy and girl, Randall Thurman, 34, abducted the siblings and was killed when he intentionally steered a car into the path of an oncoming motorist as deputies pursed him. The other driver, Maureena Charles Reid, 85, was also killed in the collision in Johnson County.

Around 1:30 a.m., the Zavala County Sheriff's Office heard a call from the Crystal City Police Department. At approximately 10:41 p.m., a Weber State officer was driving westbound on Washington Boulevard when the officer struck and killed William Casselman.

Around 11:45 p.m., a Lakeville police officer reportedly spotted a motorcycle operating recklessly on Main Street, traveling at a speed of 68 miles per hour in a 40 miles per hour zone. The officer tried to pull the motorcycle over, but the driver did not stop. The officer briefly followed the motorcycle on Main Street but reportedly abandoned pursuit. A short time after calling off the pursuit but continuing to follow, the officer came upon the motorcycle, which had crashed into a telephone pole just over the Middleboro town line, killing the driver.

At 3:26 a.m., n officer saw a car driving fast and began pursuing it. About a minute later, the officer reportedly called off the chase when the car got too far ahead. Police said Robyn Danyel Murrel lost control and crashed into a tree. She was killed; her passenger was injured.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., an officer with the Houston Police Department spotted Ahmedal Tayeb Elnouman Modawi, who was driving a white Infiniti G37, doing doughnuts in a parking lot. When the officer activated his sirens in an attempt to conduct a traffic stop, police said Modawi fled at high speed down the residential street. Modawi then allegedly hit three valets, 22-year-old Eric Orduna, 23-year-old Nick Rodriguez and 18-year-old Fnan Measho, before flipping the vehicle and crashing into a fence. Modawi, 17, is charged with three counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury.

Toledo police were attempting to stop a vehicle when the driver fled, leading police on a chase before crashing into a duplex. The vehicle ended upside down in the home. The 20-year-old passenger, Kemarr D. Thomas, was killed in the crash, and the 27-year-old driver was seriously injured.

Julius Filep got out of a stopped car and walked in the oncoming lane of traffic. Officer Mitchell Ngai, who was on-duty, was operating a marked patrol vehicle on State Route 18, responding to a reported motor vehicle accident in the southbound lanes of the roadway. He was traveling northbound in the vicinity of the reported accident at approximately 3:35 a.m. when he struck and killed Filep at 4:13 a.m.

A trooper pulled his marked cruiser into the path of the motorcyclist on I-4 around 7:30 p.m. The motorcyclist crashed into the front right side of the cruiser and was ejected from his bike. The motorcyclist then fell into the road and was hit by a semi and killed.

At least one trooper pursued a Yamaha motorcycle beginning around 2:52 p.m. The motorcyclist, Michael Beaver, continued to travel on the parkway and onto I-65, entering at 91 mile marker. After exiting I-65 three miles further northbound, Beaver lost control on the off ramp, crashed and was killed.

Suffolk police officers in a marked police cruiser noticed a 2004 Toyota Tacoma had stolen license plates and attempted a traffic stop. The Toyota's alleged driver, Robert Hengeveld, 50, failed to stop and fled from officers. As officers pursued, the Tacoma crashed into the Honda around 11:40 p.m. The driver of the Honda, Starlin Diaz Felipe, was killed. Hengevel was arrested and charged with reckless driving, unlawfully fleeing a police officer, criminal possession of stolen property, and multiple bench warrants.

Memphis and Bartlett tried to stop 19-year-old Johnny Landon, whom they said had active warrants for aggravated assault. Landon stopped briefly, then hit a Bartlett squad car and fled. Memphis Police pursued Landon's vehicle but said they lost sight of him. Landon crashed into another vehicle, killing the driver, Marvin Honey.

Police attempted to pull over a vehicle associated with an aggravated assault, suspected abduction, and suspected DUI. The vehicle reportedly did not pull over and eventually went on the interstate. State police knocked the vehicle off the road, and the vehicle overturned. Amity Jo Grey, 47, was killed on impact. Brian Price, 45, reportedly ran from the vehicle, and troopers eventually caught up to him. A fight reportedly began, and a trooper shot and killed Price.

Officers reportedly smelled a "strong odor of cannabis" coming from Curtis Pugh's Nissan. When officers pulled up to the vehicle, Pugh allegedly sped off with two passengers inside, swerving through traffic and running stop signs and red lights before driving onto a sidewalk and killing Julia Callaway.

Officers were dispatched on a report of a suspicious vehicle just after 11 a.m. Police realized the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Westminster. When more police arrived, Southard said Nicholas Vilarina, 25, allegedly rammed a squad car, and police pursued until Vilarina allegedly ran a stop sign and struck another car. A female passenger in that other car, Dulce Maria Castro Perez, 21, was killed. Police said the driver in the stolen car continued on Bierstadt, lost control of the car then hit a pedestrian, Gustavo Mosqueda Ortega, 25, who was also killed.

A Missoula officer was on patrol around 11:37 p.m. While stopped at a traffic light, the officer noticed a white Honda Civic driving at a high speed -- the speed was estimated to be around 60 or 70 mph in a 25 mph zone. Police attempted to make a traffic stop, but the car made a quick turn, and the officer lost sight of the car. Police located the car, and when police approached, the driver, Kemari D. Parks, 20, sped away through the parking lot. Officers saw a second person sitting in the front passenger seat. Officers continued to pursue the vehicle --which reportedly was traveling over 60 miles per hour. Parks nearly struck several other cars as police continued to pursue, driving into oncoming traffic and running through red lights. The car struck a parked car, causing Parks' car to strike several more cars. The passenger side of Parks' car hit the parked vehicle, causing significant damage. Parks got out of the car and fled on foot. Officers caught up to him as he was trying to jump a fence into the backyard of a house. He refused officer orders to get on the ground, who deployed his Taser, which prompted Parks to sit on the ground with his hands in the air. The passenger in Parks' car to have suffered ultimately fatal injuries in the crash. Parks was charged with one count of vehicular homicide while under the influence, one count of criminal endangerment and one count of fleeing from or eluding a peace officer resulting in serious bodily injury or death, all felonies.

At 3:45 a.m., a trooper attempted a traffic stop on a Dodge Charger traveling 72 mph in a posted 55 mph zone. The driver of the Dodge refused to stop and fled. The driver of the Dodge lost control on the Route 123 ramp, ran off the right side of the road and struck the Jersey wall. The vehicle then rode up the cement wall and struck the bottom of the overpass for the I-95 Express Lanes. Troopers pulled the driver and passenger from the vehicle before it became engulfed in flames. The driver 24-year-old Curtis Armstead and the passenger was 23-year-old Miguel D. Jenkins. Both were killed.

About 1 a.m., troopers attempted to stop a white Infiniti sedan that Jahreese R. Watson-Ricks, 18, was driving at a high speeds. Watson-Ricks got off the interstate. He lost control of the car, striking trees and subsequently catching fire. Watson-Ricks attempted to flee on foot but was captured. His passenger was killed. Watson-Ricks was charged with felony homicide, involuntary manslaughter, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, reckless driving and felony eluding, and hit and run, among other charges.

A police officer tried to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. The pursuit reportedly was called off shortly before the pursued vehicle caused a deadly multi-car crash about two miles away. Sean Donahue was an innocent motorist killed in the crash.

An officer in a marked car tried to pull over a driver because the car was believed to be stolen. The driver fled from the traffic stop. Officers chased him before reportedly stopping the pursuit. When the driver entered an intersection, his vehicle broadsided another vehicle, rolling the victim's vehicle and killing Joe Gold. Another vehicle was hit, and the 62-year-old rideshare driver and 19-year-old passenger in the backseat were injured. The alleged driver, 37-year-old James Michael Kramer, survived the crash.

At approximately 10:25 p.m., Town of Montgomery Police and Village of Walden Police responded to a 911 call of an erratic driver. The vehicle, a 2018 Jeep Wrangler, was observed on Main Street by Walden Police and was subsequently stopped. As officers approached the vehicle, the operator, Joann Schields, 52, fled and after a short pursuit struck a 2013 Toyota Rav4 head on. The driver of the Toyota, Elizabeth Bello, 35, was killed. The two passengers in the vehicle, ages 16 and 6 were injured. Schields was killed.

Around 4 a.m., dispatchers received a call about people in a Jeep SUV threatening to shoot the person calling 911. Police tried to stop a Jeep SUV, but the driver allegedly fled. Police pursued the SUV until it crashed, ejecting the driver, Shawn Michael Passwater. Passwater was killed. A passenger in the vehicle was also injured.

A trooper stopped a Chrysler van on I-80 near Green River. A second trooper arrived. The driver, after speaking with troopers, jumped back into the Chrysler and fled. Troopers pursued at speeds of more than 120 mph, until the van collided with the commercial belly dump truck, killing the driver.

A trooper spotted a Toyota Camry around 1:30 a.m. as it exited I-20 East onto I-75 South. The vehicle reportedly was clocked at more than 100 mph. The officer immediately initiated a pursuit through city streets, and I-75. The trooper reportedly lost sight of the vehicle on Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard but found it again after it had crashed. Some accounts dispute this story and suggest the trooper may have knocked the vehicle off the road, where it hit a concrete barrier and killed Ja'Marrius A. Rucker, 25, and pregnant Nadiyah S. McCants, 18.

Officers pursued a Lexus carrying four men until it struck another vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn. The 43-year-old woman who was driving that vehicle and all four men in the Lexus were injured. The woman, Amy Whitelock, 43, and Tyrese Grace, 23, were killed.

Brandon McFry and his girlfriend, Nicole Williamson, jumped from a white Cadillac allegedly driven by Tyler Shane McKnight when he decided to run from police, who were attempting to stop the vehicle. Williamson survived the incident, but McFry was struck and killed by a Talladega policewoman driving a 2017 Dodge Charger.

Officers were investigating a stabbing that occurred about noon on Las Vegas Trail where the victim's gray truck was also stolen. At about 1:45 p.m., officers located the man suspected in the stabbing. Chassity Brooks crashed the stabbing victim's truck into the Taz game room, killing 45-year-old Jeffrey Mazurowski inside. Officers were nearby and began following Brooks. About a mile down the road, he allegedly crashed into a woman sitting at a bus stop, Lailani Snell, who was killed. Police arrested Brooks.

An officer tried to stop a vehicle, but the driver fled. The officer pursued until the vehicle veered off the road and struck a tree. Three teenagers -- Kevin Xzavier Angeles, 14, Nelson Steven Candelario Lopez Vargas, 15, and Brian Atian Hutson, 16 -- were killed.

Around 10 a.m., an officer was working traffic enforcement and conducting radar. A black Lexus SUV sped past the officer in excess of 75 mph. Before the officer could stop the SUV, the driver tried to pass a Dodge Dakota pickup truck that was making a left turn onto Sala Road. The Lexus hit the Dodge and then slammed into an empty minivan parked on the side of the road. The driver was killed.

Rockwall police attempted to stop a white Chrysler 300 for the violation of a stolen license plate. The pursuit continued into the city of Fate, and Fate Police Department took over the pursuit. The vehicle traveled into the median of the interstate and lost control, striking a culvert. The driver of the Chrysler was killed, and the passenger was injured.

A 2018 BMW fled from an officer who attempted to pull the vehicle over. Police said the driver was clocked going 90 miles per hour in a 70 mph zone. The driver, Jermaine Ricardo Bernard, 30, attempted to escape the officer by turning his headlights off and an exit toward Route 301. After failing to make a turn onto 301, Bernard then made a U-turn, heading the wrong way down the exit ramp and eventually traveling south in the northbound lanes of I-95. Emporia Police Officer R.C. Williams, reportedly lost sight of the BMW, which collided with a Lincoln heading north. Both the driver and passenger in the BMW were thrown from the car, and the BMW caught fire. Bernard was flown to VCU Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The passenger of the BMW Melissa R. Dorsett, 36, was killed, as was the passenger in the Lincoln, Meloney Vannessa McCormmock, 26.

At 9:35 a.m., officers attempted to contact Aaron Salazar who had been involved in a domestic incident at a home in Socorro. Almost an hour later, he ran out of the home, took off in a pickup truck, and Socorro officers pursued. Salazar crashed at the intersection of Dindinger and Socorro Road, where he abandoned the first truck and carjacked another vehicle. The pursuit continued to San Elizario, eventually to I-10. About 11 a.m., crashed on I-10, the truck coming to rest on the shoulder of the road, after striking a road service truck. Salazar was killed.

About 7:40 p.m., a county deputy was on patrol when he noticed a westbound vehicle being operated recklessly on the two-lane road. The deputy attempted to catch up to the vehicle to make a traffic stop and saw the driver passing other vehicles on a double yellow line while driving in excess of 20 mph over the speed limit. A short time later, the vehicle crashed and caught on fire. Jamari D. Brown was killed.

An officer attempted to pull a vehicle over when a vehicle went past him at 104 mph. Christian Morrow, 21, fled eastbound toward Washington County. The officer engaged his emergency lights and sirens and pursued the vehicle. Morrow rear ended Anna Pearson's 2012 Toyota Scion hatchback, killing her.

An officer spotted a van driving in reverse on a city street, then pull into a parking lot. The officer stopped and questioned the van's driver, who reportedly gave a false name and then fled on foot. The officer chased the man, and a fight between the two men occurred. Around 8 p.m., the officer radioed for help, saying he was involved in a violent encounter with a suspect. Police say that about a minute after that call, emergency dispatchers began receiving calls that an officer and a man he was chasing had been hit by a car. The two struggled, Donald Hill ran into SE 14th Street, followed by the officer, and both men were hit by a vehicle, killing Hill. The officer was injured.

An SUV reportedly stolen out of Minneapolis was spotted by Robbinsdale police around 2 a.m. Robbinsdale police chased the car into Minneapolis where the driver of the SUV lost control and crashed. Five juveniles were in the SUV at the time. Shawndale Devon Hickman, 16, and another teenager were killed. The other three were seriously injured.

Officers attempted to stop a 2016 Nissan at approximately 3:19 a.m. The Nissan fled, and officers reportedly ended their pursuit after losing sight of the vehicle. Six minutes later, officers were dispatched for an accident. Officers identified the Nissan that fled from police as one of the vehicles in the crash. The driver of the Nissan, William Lane, 34, was heading westbound and hit a Dodge Ram as he crossed the intersection at North Berkley Road. A passenger in the Nissan, Sydney Glenn, was killed. Lane and another passenger were injured. The driver of the Ram, James Conwell, 35, was also injured.

About 4:15 p.m., deputies saw a truck heading that matched the description of a vehicle stolen during a kidnapping. Deputies attempted to stop the truck, but driver, Anthony Lara, fled. He reportedly ran through a stop sign and lost control of the truck, veered left and crashed into a home. The two other occupants of the truck, a 49-year-old Yucaipa man and a 32-year-old Highland woman, were killed.

At about 7:43 p.m., a deputy saw a 2018 Honda motorcycle traveling east at a high rate of speed. The deputy pursued the motorcycle east on W. Water Street and learned that the motorcycle had been previously reported stolen out of the City of Ithaca. The deputy attempted to stop the motorcycle. The motorcycle slowed to a near stop before turning around and traveling at high speeds west on W. Water Street, against the flow of one-way roadway traffic. The deputy did not pursue the motorcycle and radioed the Communications Center, advising them that the motorcycle had fled the stop. The motorcycle continued west on W. Water Street and struck a 2016 Ford Fusion. James Thigpen was killed.

Police allegedly saw Stanley Davis Jr. driving recklessly on Boynton Beach Boulevard. They pursued until Davis crashed the bike. Davis was killed.

Police responded to a call for a maroon van parked on the railroad tracks about 4 a.m. A train conductor reportedly spotted the van and said it initially appeared to be stuck. When officers arrived, they saw people allegedly stealing from one of the train's boxcars. When police approached, the people fled. Officers chased them into the city of Ontario until the van crashed into a building. The two people in the van, an unidentified Hispanic man and Hispanic woman, were killed.

Jeremy Yates fled after deputies from the Madison County Sheriff's Office approached his vehicle around 9 p.m. He fired at passing vehicles and at sheriff's deputies during the chase, which ended when Yates' vehicle veered off a road and overturned, killing him. At was not immediately disclosed whether he died of gunshots or the crash.
