Media summary: A Hamburg patrolman responded to a report of domestic dispute at the house, possibly involving an armed man. The patrolman arrived outside the house and was immediately shot at by Jeremy J. Krieger, who was in the doorway firing a military rifle. The patrolman took cover behind his patrol car and called for backup while he returned Krieger's fire. Two state troopers arrived a short time later, and Krieger opened fire on them. Troopers returned fire, and Krieger retreated into his house. Once inside, Krieger attacked Clayton Wagner, who then shot and killed Krieger with a handgun.
