Media summary: Police chased Benjamin Chavez in an allegedly carjacked vehicle, then crashed into two other vehicles — killing one of the occupants. Chavez, 26, was charged with murder, aggravated robbery, and evading arrest causing death. Undercover officers spotted the vehicle shortly before 2 p.m. and alerted patrol officers to its location.
