Media summary: Police began chasing a Chevrolet Camaro in New Roads believing that it had been stolen. The chase ended about 30 miles away, when the Camaro veered through a median on U.S. 61, Scenic Highway, and struck a Ford Mustang head-on, killing both drivers, Stanlasija Brue, 17, in the Camaro, and Thaddeus Johnson Jr., 22, in the Mustang. A two-year-old and two teenagers in the stolen Camaro were injured in the accident but survived.
