Media summary: According to police, a Ford Taurus and cash were reported stolen at gunpoint on the 600 block of High Street SW just before midnight. Police said officers tried to stop the car, but the driver sped off. The Taurus crashed into a tree and landed near the front steps of Mount Moriah Baptist Worship Center.
