Media summary: Williford stole his father's truck and drove it recklessly, serving around. Around 8:30 p.m., Deputy Rusty Barrett began to pursue Williford. Williford crashed and died. Rumors spread through Trinity that Deputy Barrett had run Williford off the road. The Texas Ranger Division investigated. Dashcam video showed that the truck Williford drove was barely visible in Deputy Barrett's headlights when it swerved off road for the last time and crashed.
