Orlando Lucero, the fleeing driver, was also killed in the crash According to police, an officer saw Lucero driving a Ford F-150 erratically and without headlights at around 3:40 a.m. Lucero allegedly refused to pull over, prompting a brief chase. The Ford then collided with the Good's Cadillac. Police claimed that the officer had stopped chasing the truck, but that Lucero did not seem to realize he was no longer being pursued.
