Media summary: Frank Aldana Escalante and Marianne Krone were killed when Escalante crashed his motorcycle into Krone's minivan during a police chase in Long Beach. At around 6 a.m., a CHP officer began pursuing Escalante for speeding on the 605 freeway. Escalante exited the freeway at Spring Street and the CHP said the officer lost sight of the motorcycle. Soon afterward, Escalante broadsided Krone's minivan at the intersection of Norwalk and Wardlow.
