Media summary: An officer was driving home at about 2:30 a.m. when he saw a Chevrolet Lumina and suspected the driver was intoxicated. The officer pulled over the car , but as he was getting out of his patrol car, the Lumina sped away, police said. There were three Waco residents inside the car: Emmanuel Thomas, 16; Nikki Gillen, 12; and Stacy Gillen, 11. Nikki Gillen was believed to have been driving. The chase reached speeds of 110 miles per hour. When the Lumina was about a half-mile ahead of the pursuing officers, the driver lost control and struck a tree killing sisters Nikki Gillen,12, and Stacy Gillen, 11.
