Media summary: Moore told authorities that someone was in his attic. When Deputy Emily Wright responded, Moore confronted her with a .22-caliber pump action rifle. Wright disarmed him. Moore punched her. Wright tried to shoot him with a stun gun. Moore choked her. Wright drew her pistol and shot Moore in the chest and belly. Moore died a week later at John Peter Smith Hospital. Wright was treated for cuts and bruises at a local hospital.
