Media summary: About 6:40 p.m., an officer on patrol was conducting a business check at a gas station when he saw a black Chevrolet Monte Carlo at one of the pumps. The officer recognized the car from an earlier police pursuit. The officer approached, and the driver fled. Police pursued. The officer reportedly lost sight of the car, but saw a cloud of smoke and the car, flipped over. Police said the driver, Antonio Short, was ejected from the vehicle in the crash, killing him.
