Media summary: According to reports, a Lewisburg police car was rushing to the scene of a fight. State troopers in two squad cars saw the city cruiser and sped after it to assist "out of courtesy." However, the troopers apparently didn't know what they were assisting, because they couldn't talk to the Lewisburg officer over their dissimilar radios. The city officer stopped in the road at the top of a hill to talk to some witnesses. One of the state troopers was able to stop. The second trooper, Greg Collins, swerved left to miss the stopped vehicles and hit an oncoming car driven by Neil Parker, killing him.
