Media summary: In the midst of a volatile marriage headed for divorce, Denmark's wife called police to her home, saying Denmark had assaulted her with a knife. By the time police arrived, Denmark had gone and a search had begun. The next day, police discovered that Denmark had broken into his wife's home and was hiding in an attic space, holding a knife. Police said officers ordered Denmark to drop the knife. According to the Star Tribune, officers then "Tasered him without effect and shot him to death when he continued to wield the knife."
