Media summary: Based on reports of shots fired, and an unknown man who flagged down police at 3 a.m., officers went looking for a burgundy colored Plymouth minivan with Virginia tags. They found it and started a high-speed pursuit. The Plymouth crashed into a tree and ejected all three occupants. Two of them, Thaddeus Alphonso Howard and William Kurland Joseph Adams IV, were killed.
