Media summary: Greeley police officers were called to a disturbance at the 7-Eleven store at 27th Avenue and 10th Street when one of the men involved fled. Officer Matt Youngs ran after the suspect, William Greg Lamb, who turned and opened fire on the officer, hitting him three times. Youngs returned fire and killed Lamb. Youngs returned to duty after he recovered from his injuries.
