Deputies attempted to pull a vehicle over, and it did not stop. The pursued through Midway, where officers twice lost sight of the vehicle. They resumed the chase on River Road and traveled on to U.S. 40, where speeds approached 100 mph. Officers flattened the tires, and the vehicle crashed and rolled, killing Daisha Reynolds and seriously injuring the driver.

At least one Chamblee officer shot and killed Irlin Paz while he attacked his wife with a knife. Both Paz and the woman, Emilsi de Leon, were killed.

Troy Allen Engstrom, who was a suspect in a felony domestic assault, shot at a pursuing officers, hitting one officer's vehicle just above the driver's side windshield, and a Ramsey County deputy's vehicle just below the driver's side windshield. Ramsey County Deputy Donald Rindal rammed Engstrom with his car, killing him.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office received an anonymous tip regarding the whereabouts of an escaped inmate, Desmond Louis. Louis had an arrest warrant through the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office for simple escape after he fled from a work detail on September 20, 2021. Upon learning of Louis' location, the CPSO and LCPD arrived at a home in Lake Charles and began calling Louis and the other occupants out of the house. Louis allegedly fired shots at officers from inside the residence. A short time later, Louis exited the house through the front door and fired additional shots at officers, who shot and killed him.

Police were called by the Cosumnes Fire Department around 1 p.m. Arriving officers found fire personnel with a man who was acting erratically next to vehicle stopped in the roadway. Police said efforts to detain the man eventually led to resistance and to a struggle between him and officers. Officers restrained the man with handcuffs. Police said the man intentionally hit his head on the concrete, while he was handcuffed and seated. He was taken to the hospital, where around 2:45 p.m., he died.

At 2:25 p.m., McKinney police received a 911 call from a relative of a man reported to be suicidal and armed in a home. Officers arrived and tried to make contact with the man for almost an hour, trying to get him to come out of the home. Once he did come out of the home, he pointed a shotgun at officers who shot and killed him.

Around 8 a.m., DeKalb County officers responded to calls about a man walking on I-20. The officer offered him a ride to the nearest gas station. After the DeKalb officer pulled into a nearby Shell Station, Christan Smith allegedly pulled out a gun. Officers shot and killed Smith.

Around 1:30 a.m., the Zavala County Sheriff's Office heard a call from the Crystal City Police Department. The officer with CCPD was in pursuit of a white Chevy Camaro that was traveling north toward La Pryor. The deputy deployed a tire deflection device and the Camaro rolled over, crashed and was engulfed in flames. Driver Gabriel Salazar, 19, and passengers Jose Luis Jimenez-Mora, 41, Jose Molina-Lara, 23, and Sergio Espinoza-Flores, 36, were killed.

A relative of a Bosque County boy and girl, Randall Thurman, 34, abducted the siblings and was killed when he intentionally steered a car into the path of an oncoming motorist as deputies pursed him. The other driver, Maureena Charles Reid, 85, was also killed in the collision in Johnson County.

About 3:15 p.m., officers received reports about a man with a gun at Huntington City Beach. Ronnie Andrew Garcia reported held a weapon under a piece of clothing. Officers demanded he drop it. When Garcia failed to comply, officers shot and killed him in two volleys of gunfire.

Around 1:30 a.m., the Zavala County Sheriff's Office heard a call from the Crystal City Police Department. Around 10 a.m., police received a report of a female being held against her will at the Value Inn. Police forced their way into the room and found the occupants had fled out a window. Officer Steven Gosselin encountered Joseph Arbour in the inn parking lot. After attempting to speak with Arbour, and after a short foot pursuit, Gosselin shot and killed Arbour.

At about 5 p.m., Anaheim police spotted Brandon Lopez, an armed-robbery suspect, driving a reportedly stolen car in Santa Ana. Police pursued with the assistance of a police chopper, but officers reportedly pulled back. A little while later, Lopez's car was spotted disabled in a construction, with the suspect holed up inside. Police spent four hours unsuccessfully trying to convince Lopez to surrender. A little before 10 p.m., police deployed tear gas to force the suspect out of the car, police said. After he exited the car, officers shot and killed him. Police withheld details about why officers killed him, or whether he was armed or returned fire.

About 4 p.m., Hillsborough Police went to a home on Piedmont Path after a 911 call reported an emergency inside the home. Hillsborough Police Officers encountered a man inside who was a resident of the house. During the encounter, one officer shot and killed Patrick Chin at around 4:16 p.m.

Police responded to a domestic dispute around 9:30 a.m., where a man allegedly threatened a woman with a knife. Officers ordered Kyle Anthony Veyon to drop the knife several times, and reportedly attempted to use a Taser. When Veyon approached the woman, Officer Andrew Hawkins shot and killed him.

About 3:20 a.m., a deputy spotted a car driving 90 mph on Alligator Road. The deputy activated the blue lights and siren and tried to stop the vehicle. The deputy reportedly backed off the pursuit as the vehicle approached a red light at an intersection. Shortly after going through the intersection, police said the vehicle lost control, crossed the median, ran through a fence surrounding a retention pond and went into the water. Carlos Antonio Douglas was killed.

Thomas Hungerford, 65, kidnapped Tammy Beechum, 53. Police said the kidnapping happened in a parking lot of her job. The SUV the pair was believed to be in was spotted in the Lancaster area. A brief chase ended in front of the Advanced Auto Parts store. When troopers approached the SUV, they found Hungerford and Beechum dead inside.

Manuela "Mona" Rodriguez died eight days after being shot by school officer near Millikan High School as the car she was a passenger in drove away. Two bullets were fired into the vehicle, including one which struck the teen in the back of her head. The Long Beach Unified School District Board of Education fired the officer, Eddie F. Gonzalez. Gonzalez had been investigating a fight involving Rodriguez and a 15-year-old girl, according to police.

Deputies received a call for a suspicious person outside of a convenience store, which led to a short pursuit around 8 a.m. A deputy who had stopped at the store to take a break was told by a store clerk that the man, Nicholas Norris, who was outside, had been scaring customers over the past few days. Norris fled. A deputy reported that Norris was driving in circles and driving erratically on Potranco Road. The deputies reengaged a pursuit because it was rush hour. Deputy Joseph Trevino shot at the vehicle, killing Norris.

About 11 p.m., a Rogersville police officer spotted a truck on Main Street that was being sought. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver, Buster Lee Carpenter, tried to make a U-turn and crashed into the side of a house. As the officer got out of his vehicle and approached the truck, the driver backed the truck up and struck the officer's vehicle. Initial reports suggested the subject then drove the truck toward the officer, who shot and killed Carpenter.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., an officer with the Houston Police Department spotted Ahmedal Tayeb Elnouman Modawi, who was driving a white Infiniti G37, doing doughnuts in a parking lot. When the officer activated his sirens in an attempt to conduct a traffic stop, police said Modawi fled at high speed down the residential street. Modawi then allegedly hit three valets, 22-year-old Eric Orduna, 23-year-old Nick Rodriguez and 18-year-old Fnan Measho, before flipping the vehicle and crashing into a fence. Modawi, 17, is charged with three counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault with serious bodily injury.

Police suspected Jason Metcalfe of being involved in the murder of Timothy Vogel, 32. Metcalfe allegedly shot Vogel and stole a 2016 Chevy pickup truck before they pursued him in a chase that stretched through several different counties. Once Metcalfe entered Clinton County, the Ohio State Highway Patrol deployed stop sticks. When Metcalfe's vehicle came to a stop after hitting the sticks, he got out of the car and displayed a weapon. He reportedly shot and killed himself during an exchange of gunfire with police.

Around 11:45 p.m., a Lakeville police officer reportedly spotted a motorcycle operating recklessly on Main Street, traveling at a speed of 68 miles per hour in a 40 miles per hour zone. The officer tried to pull the motorcycle over, but the driver did not stop. The officer briefly followed the motorcycle on Main Street but reportedly abandoned pursuit. A short time after calling off the pursuit but continuing to follow, the officer came upon the motorcycle, which had crashed into a telephone pole just over the Middleboro town line, killing the driver.

About 8:30 p.m., police received the report of a domestic dispute at a home involving a firearm. The caller stated that Jazmine Thein used a firearm to shoot at her brother. Her brother fled to a neighbor's house. Deputies arrived and were able to confirm that Thein was inside the residence. Shortly after 6 a.m., deputies found her dead in a bedroom from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot.

At 3:26 a.m., n officer saw a car driving fast and began pursuing it. About a minute later, the officer reportedly called off the chase when the car got too far ahead. Police said Robyn Danyel Murrel lost control and crashed into a tree. She was killed; her passenger was injured.

At approximately 7:58 a.m, troopers received a call of a domestic battery inside of a gray Toyota Corolla, which was occupied by a woman and a man. Witnesses reported to police seeing a male striking the female several times. At approximately 8:19 a.m., troopers located the vehicle in the area of Lake Mead Blvd. near mile marker 14, and shot and killed Adrian Zarate-Cervantes at approximately 8:26 a.m.

Officer Chase Gardner tried to stop the man from exiting the East Platte Walmart just before 4 p.m. The man fled through the Walmart parking lot, and Gardner chased him and ordered him to stop. David Lee Jacques Jr.darted down nearby Pine Tree Square and hid behind a car in another business parking lot. Gardner deploy a Taser, but Jacques pulled a handgun and shot off at least one round. Gardner shot and killed him.

Around 2 a.m., a clerk working at the QuikTrip called 911 to report a suicidal person. The clerk said a woman was at the convenience store and said her boyfriend had threatened her, made suicidal statements and possibly fired a gun in a home. The woman was no longer at Quiktrip when officers arrived. Officers at the home talked with a man who said he was letting Jess Jackson stay with him. The man let officers inside the home. Officers found Jackson in bed. The officers ordered Jackson to get out of bed and show his hands, but he ignored the commands and reached toward the floor. One officer then fired four shots, killing Jackson.

A report of a stolen vehicle came in at 8:44 a.m. Three minutes later, an officer spotted the vehicle, a 2022 Mercedes SL. An officer turned on police lights and siren and tried to stop the car. The driver ran through a red light and crashed into another vehicle moments later, and he was injured. Paula Kennedy, who was in the other vehicle, was killed.

A DEA task force was apparently searching a train. An agent was shot and killed by Damon Taylor, who was also shot and killed.

Officers were called to a home by a "male subject from inside the house," around 7:35 a.m. after getting a call about a "domestic disturbance" between a man and a woman there. The officers saw a domestic altercation within, and the responding officer shot and killed Michael A. Craig. Craig may have been the victim of the domestic disturbance, having been stabbed by his wife.

Police received a call about 3 a.m. for an unspecified emergency. A deputy arrived and was met by a person who was armed. The armed person allegedly lunged at the deputy, and the deputy shot and killed R.V. Johnson.

An officer with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was attempting to bring a man into custody in connection with a drug investigation when gunfire was exchanged. The officer shot and killed Corey Daniel Wellman, the man who was sought.

Officers said they were responding to reports about a man shooting a gun after 4 p.m. They trapped the man in a fenced yard. The man, Donte Lorenzo Laster, allegedly fired several rounds at officers. Shortly after, Officer Michael Cooper shot and killed Laster.

Toledo police were attempting to stop a vehicle when the driver fled, leading police on a chase before crashing into a duplex. The vehicle ended upside down in the home. The 20-year-old passenger, Kemarr D. Thomas, was killed in the crash, and the 27-year-old driver was seriously injured.

A domestic disturbance was reported about 2:20 p.m. When police arrived, a person barricaded themselves inside the home, and officers were told about a firearm inside. Police said they tried to communicate with the person inside for hours, going into the home around 8 p.m. and finding the person dead.

Police came to an apartment to arrest Antonio Armstrong for a recent domestic incident. He allegedly shot at them before barricading himself inside, sparking a three-hour standoff that ended with him shooting and killing himself.

U.S. Marshals intended to serve an arrest warrant on an individual wanted for charges including aggravated assault and weapons violations. As officers approached the home, they were fired upon, an agent was shot and wounded, and officers fell back. Negotiations took place, and several children and adults exited the residence. Following negotiations, police entered the home and found the man dead from a self-inflicted gunshot.

About 11 p.m., attempted to a vehicle after allegedly seeing several motor vehicle violations. Officers reportedly activated the lights and sirens on their unmarked patrol vehicle. The driver failed to stop and continued, ultimately driving down a dead-end street, where several police vehicles blocked the vehicle. The driver failed to comply with orders by officers to exit the vehicle. He then appeared to ignite a flame. The interior of the vehicle became engulfed in flames and filled with smoke. The driver was killed.

Julius Filep got out of a stopped car and walked in the oncoming lane of traffic. Officer Mitchell Ngai, who was on-duty, was operating a marked patrol vehicle on State Route 18, responding to a reported motor vehicle accident in the southbound lanes of the roadway. He was traveling northbound in the vicinity of the reported accident at approximately 3:35 a.m. when he struck and killed Filep at 4:13 a.m.

Deputies responded to a report of gunfire inside a residence around 2:45 p.m. Deputies reported hearing shots coming from inside the home after they arrived. A woman later ran from the property and told deputies that Nicholas Barker had fired a gun at her. The woman was not injured. A standoff between deputies and state troopers and Barker lasted until evening. During the standoff, Barker came out of the house, fired into the air, and re-entered. When state police entered the residence around 3 a.m., troopers reportedly found Barker dead from a self-inflicted gunshot.

Simran S. Gordon was shot and killed by Rochester police during an armed robbery attempt at a Family Dollar store. Two police officers responded to the in-progress robbery and neither was injured during an exchange of gunfire.

Around 9 a.m., officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a home. There, three officers encountered Lloyd Grant McClung, Jr., who was armed with a shotgun. The officers ordered McClung to drop his weapon, which he ignored. He allegedly continued advancing toward the officers, who shot and killed him.

Isaac Louis Soria had been inside a home for five hours, refusing to come out when deputies arrived at 2 p.m. Deputies were called to the home after neighbors reported that Soria had pointed the rifle at them. Police had spoken to Soria for hours. At 7 p.m., he came out of the home, apparently armed and wearing body armor, and deputies shot and killed him.

Officers were called around 4:20 a.m. to a self-storage facility. Someone at the business reported there was a man on the property who was armed with a knife. Officers arrived and found a man with a machete. Officers tried to arrest the man, but he did not comply, and they tasered him. The man reportedly threatened officers, and two officers shot and killed him.

Rudy Anderson allegedly randomly shot at multiple random victims, attempted a carjacking, and took a person hostage when police shot and killed him inside an apartment.

Tommy Carmichael was a person of interest in his mother's murder. Tulsa police said around midnight on Friday morning, officers spotted Carmichael driving a white truck in West Tulsa. He refused to pull over and was heading toward the home where police found Carmichael's mother, 69-year-old Carol Longacre, dead in a bathtub. Police said during Friday morning's chase, they sent officers to the home where the homicide happened to get ahead of Carmichael. They said he pulled up to the house and tried to get inside before fatally shooting himself.

At 8:51 p.m., a woman called police saying that Gilbert Lee Collison Jr. had broken into a home. She said Collison was armed with a shotgun and had made threats to shoot police if they attempted to enter the home. The caller also said that Gilbert Collison was currently wanted by police. The woman called police after receiving a call from Collison saying that he came back into her home. Around 2:30 a.m., Collison stood in the front doorway of the home and confronted police with a shotgun. A less-lethal impact baton fired by an officer struck Collison in the leg. Collison fired on the officers. Three officers shot and killed Collison.

Around 2:46 a.m., an officer with the Maryland Transportation Police Authority spotted a car speeding and weaving in and out of lanes. The officer pursued the vehicle onto I-95 south, where he tried pulling the car over. The driver, Jawuan James Ginyard, sped away and exited onto I-695. The officer continued the chase, believing the driver was impaired. Ginyard lost control causing the vehicle to hit the median. The impact threw him from the vehicle, killing him.

Richard Lee Sweet fatally shot his girlfriend, Joan Cressman, 46. He then fled to his Schuylkill County home, where he fatally shot himself after an hours-long standoff with police following a police chase.

Around 6:30 p.m., Lompoc police responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. The alleged assailant barricaded himself inside a home and refused to respond to police. The man reportedly approached the door of the home with a handgun and pointed it at officers. The officers shot and killed him.

Troopers received a call around 9 a.m. about a domestic disturbance. Officers discovered that Joshua Ebinger was violating a protection order a woman had placed against him. Two Ripley County deputies, a Indiana State Police trooper and a Versailles police officer responded to the residence. Officers said the woman exited the home and was moved to a safe location. Ebinger reportedly exited the residence, holding a handgun. Officers commanded Ebinger to drop the handgun. He allegedly pointed the weapon at the officers. The trooper and one of the deputies shot and killed Ebinger.

Deputies responded to a U.S. 231 business regarding a burglary. When officers arrived they reportedly saw a man loading an air conditioner onto a vehicle and ordered him to stop but, instead, he drove toward those officers. The deputies shot and killed Perry Lamar Stringfellow Jr.

Around noon, police arrived to serve a search warrant at a home when they encountered an armed man. Police said the man pointed a gun at officers, and an exchange of gunfire followed. The officers shot and killed Bryan Calvin Lee.

Officers were dispatched to an apartment at 9:33 a.m. on an assault and battery call. The kidnapping victim's current boyfriend had told arriving officers that her ex-boyfriend, Martinez, had been harassing them and fired shots before kicking in the front door of the apartment to forcibly remove the woman. Martinez threatened her with a 9 mm handgun and tried to escape in her car, but fled with her on foot because her car's battery was dead. Officers located Martinez and the victim near a shopping center at about 10:50 a.m. and ordered him to surrender. Martinez did not comply and walked with the victim at gunpoint to the plaza's parking lot. Martinez unsuccessfully tried to steal several vehicles in the plaza parking lot. The two made their way through a grocery store and left through the back and into an alley. In the alley, Martinez tried to steal an unoccupied box truck and shot out its window, but was unable to start the vehicle. While he and the victim were in the alley, officers set up a containment around the shopping center and a team of officers -- which included Officer Ramon Hiestand -- made contact with Martinez. The two made their way to the sidewalk, when he pointed his gun at officers, and the woman was able to break free. Hiestand shot Martinez, prompting him to fall to the ground. Martinez fired more shots at officers while on the ground, and Hiestand continued to shoot until Martinez was dead.

Buddy Byron McKenzie allegedly shot and wounded Lupe Torres, 37, in the parking lot of Legends Casino Hotel in Toppenish, Washington. It is not clear exactly when McKenzie arrived in Idaho, he was reportedly involved in an exchange with Caribou County Sheriff's deputies. During the exchange, he fired a gun at the deputies and fled in a vehicle. Officers successfully deployed tire spikes, but McKenzie continued to flee, riding on his rims. When his vehicle came to rest, McKenzie exited the vehicle and pointed his gun toward police, who shot and killed him.

Dustin J. Paradis was allegedly threatening residents at a homeless shelter. Paradis lived at the shelter and injured another resident before officers got there. When Officers Chris Blodgett and Sabastian Guptill arrived, an "armed altercation" began, and the officers shot and killed Paradis.

A Geary officer saw a man holding a knife. The officer stopped to talk to the man and ordered him to put down the knife. The man allegedly did not comply. A second officer, who was off-duty, stopped to help. A third officer arrived and attempted to deploy his Taser but reportedly could not get a clear shot. When the man saw the Taser, he lunged at the off-duty officer with the knife, and he was shot and killed.

Around 1 p.m. officers responded to a report of shots fired. Police said it was a domestic assault, with a man shooting at a woman. Afterward, Christopher Ryan Vasquez went back inside the residence, sparking a standoff. At around 6:30 p.m., the man started shooting out a window at officers. An officer fired one round, hitting him in the shoulder. Vasquez then reportedly put his own gun to his head and killed himself.

Robert Allen Maness, who was on a motorcycle, fired on officers as they tried to pull him over. He was shot and killed and crashed around 11 p.m.

Police found Michael Nelson Jr. inside a stolen vehicle at the Milpitas Square Shopping Center. Nelson initially got out of the vehicle, looked at the officers and re-entered the vehicle. Nelson then began shooting at the officers, who shot and killed him.

Cody Wayne Pirila allegedly killed his roommate, Skylar Cody Hunter, 31, and roommate's father, Jamie Allen Hunter, 51, before taking his own life after a police chase.

Joshua Dewayne Hammock allegedly robbed a convenience store in Lee County while displaying a knife around 11:20 p.m. Lee County deputies began to search for the man in response to the theft. Around 7:30 a.m., another robbery took place at a 7/11. The man took a case of beer from the store. When the clerk tried to confront him, he allegedly flashed a knife before charging at him. When two responding deputies found him, he allegedly tried to attack them with the knife. One of the deputies shot and killed Hammock.

Police were responding to a call when they found Christopher Conner bludgeoning his 15-year-old son with a brick in the middle of the street. The boy died. When the officer attempted to restrain Conner, he sliced the officer's throat and neck a knife. Julie Moore, 42, the child's mother, was found dead inside with multiple stab wounds.

Around 2:30 a.m., at least one Clark County deputy tried to pull Kfin Karuo over. When Karuo didn't stop, deputies forced his SUV into a berm. At some point after Karuo hit the berm, he allegedly pointed a gun. Deputies Forrest Gonzalez and David Delin shot and killed Karou.

Shawn Dempsey, 52, and Karen Sue Dempsey, 52, were found dead. Following a pursuit, Shawn Delemore Dempsey, the couple's son, was shot and killed by Mingo County deputies after he pulled a gun and fired at officers.

A trooper pulled his marked cruiser into the path of the motorcyclist on I-4 around 7:30 p.m. The motorcyclist crashed into the front right side of the cruiser and was ejected from his bike. The motorcyclist then fell into the road and was hit by a semi and killed.

At approximately noon, officers were dispatched to an apartment complex for a family disturbance involving a gun. A caller reported seeing a man with a gun, shooting into the air and pointing the gun at a woman. The woman involved also called police and reported that Christopher Ryan Vasquez was trying to kill her. Officers arrived and Vasquez barricaded himself in his apartment. He occasionally approached the window and cursed at officers while holding one and sometimes two handguns. He also pointed the guns at his own head and at one point placed one in his mouth. He reportedly said he was not going to come out peacefully, threatened suicide by cop and stated he was going to kill himself. At approximately 6:41 p.m., officers sent gas into the apartment, and Vasquez fired his handgun toward an armored vehicle, and an officer fired one round at him. He fell away from the window and out of sight. Shortly after additional gunfire could be heard from inside the apartment. A robot camera revealed Vasquez lying dead on the floor of the apartment with a gun nearby.

Jim Rogers was killed when he was shocked by a Taser multiple times by Pittsburgh Police in the city's Bloomfield neighborhood. Police said the tasering happened when Rogers was non-compliant during his arrest over an alleged attempted theft of a bicycle.

A Jacksboro officer and a Jack County deputy were dispatched to a home on a domestic disturbance call. Two women were able to escape and met officers near the Jack County Memorial Park. Vanessa K. Massengale, reported that she had been assaulted by her husband, Lewis E. Massengale II. Officers attempted to contact Lewis, but were unsuccessful. Police entered the residence at 7:27 a.m. and found Lewis dead.

At least one trooper pursued a Yamaha motorcycle beginning around 2:52 p.m. The motorcyclist, Michael Beaver, continued to travel on the parkway and onto I-65, entering at 91 mile marker. After exiting I-65 three miles further northbound, Beaver lost control on the off ramp, crashed and was killed.

An officer spotted a stolen vehicle on Bartlett Street but reportedly did not turn on the emergency lights and did not pursue. The vehicle fled. The car did not travel far before striking another vehicle. A man and a woman were inside that car. The woman, Tishara Pugh, was killed; the man was seriously injured.

Troopers were called to a home around 11 after a woman who went to the home to visit another woman said she saw a man's body inside.Evansville officers were called to the home. When officers arrived, they found 36-year-old Heidi Carter standing outside by a vehicle. She told officers that there were other people inside the home, and she had a gun. After Carter was taken into custody, police surrounded the home and ordered everyone to come outside. Carey Hammond reportedly rushed out of the door with what appeared to be a gun in his hand. He was shot and killed. Police found a woman inside who was tied up and had visible injuries. Another man was found dead inside the home.

About 7 p.m., deputies were searching for a homicide suspect. Deputies were speaking with a man unrelated to the homicide when he began to reach inside his waistband. A scuffle began between the man and deputy. During the man reached into his waistband, retrieved a weapon and shot the deputy in the leg. The deputy shot and killed him.

Troopers attempted to pull over Shavoz Levon Seals around 3:50 p.m. and arrest him due to active warrants in a September 2016 murder investigation. Seals fled, and officers pursued. Around 4 p.m. a trooper disabled Seals' car. Seals shot and killed himself.

Colorado corrections officers, part of a fugitive apprehension task force who were trying to arrest a parole violator, Aaron Leo Lang, said he appeared to have aimed a weapon at officers who shot and killed him.

Gunfire was first reported at the Atlantic House Midtown apartments about 3:25 a.m. Officers responded within five minutes. Jarvis Jarrette allegedly fired a rifle at responding officers, and at least one officer shot and killed him. Jarrette had allegedly killed a woman he was dating, Courtney Cox, 31.

At about 5:30 p.m., police received information on a person who was wanted on several warrants was in the area. Those warrants were grand theft, auto theft, aggravated fleeing and eluding and driving with suspended license. Officers arrived and found the person inside his vehicle. Police blocked the vehicle, at which point the person drew a handgun. An officer fired a single shot missing him. After the shot was fired, the person pointed the gun at his head and shot and killed himself.

At 10 p.m., a Salisbury police officer saw a car without lights and swerving. The officer attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled. The officer pursued the car believing that the driver was impaired. The driver turned onto Queen Avenue and struck a Wicomico County Sheriff's cruiser. He proceeded to Queen Avenue and struck another vehicle. The second crash caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle and enter Duchess Drive, where he struck a parked vehicle and hit a tree and was killed.

Memphis and Bartlett tried to stop 19-year-old Johnny Landon, whom they said had active warrants for aggravated assault. Landon stopped briefly, then hit a Bartlett squad car and fled. Memphis Police pursued Landon's vehicle but said they lost sight of him. Landon crashed into another vehicle, killing the driver, Marvin Honey.

FBI agents were investigating suspected child exploitation at a home about 9:30 a.m. An occupant of the home barricaded themselves inside, and Portland police responded. After entering the home, officers found the person dead. A spokesperson for the agency said it was unclear how the person died. No police used force during the standoff.

At about 12:29 a.m., after reportedly observing a vehicle code violation, an officer stopped a Chevrolet pickup truck. The driver exited the vehicle, allegedly ignored the officer's commands to stop and fled on foot as the officer attempted to detain him. He refused to comply with the officer's commands and allegedly physically resisted as he returned to the truck. He started the truck and a struggle continued as the officer attempted to arrest him. A second officer arrived to assist as the first officer was struggling to arrest Christian Valadez at the open driver's door. He allegedly began driving away as the first officer was still struggling with him. The first officer broke free from the vehicle, avoiding injury, at which time Valadez allegedly attempted to hit the officers. An officer fired several shots, and the driver was shot and killed. The vehicle continued traveling over a chain link fence and collided into a house. No one was injured inside the home.

Around 4 a.m., a robbery was reported at a 7-Eleven. Two people fled south in a red Saturn on Western Avenue. An Oklahoma City police officer spotted the vehicle and pulled up behind it. The vehicle stopped in a nearby lot, but then sped away. The vehicle then entered I-240's westbound lanes in the wrong direction, and the police officer, traveling east in the eastbound lanes, pursued the fleeing vehicle. The fleeing vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle. The person driving the vehicle was killed, and the passenger was injured, as was the driver of the other vehicle.

Lance James Hines was wanted by police in connection to the fatal shooting of Eric Jay Rutz. At about 9:10 a.m., police received a 911 call stating a gray 2012 Toyota Prius matching the description of Hines' vehicle had been spotted at Advance Auto Parts. Officers surrounded the vehicle and heard a gunshot from inside the vehicle. Police found Hines with an ultimately self-inflicted gunshot.

Police attempted a traffic stop, and Clayburn Grant allegedly did not stop. Officers pursued, and police alleged Grant displayed a weapon. Police shot and killed Grant. Grant's brother was killed by police in 2019.

Police responded to reports of a man stabbing his roommates. Police fired bean bag rounds at Kim Ropp and a roommate with whom he was struggling. Ropp reportedly charged toward officers, and police shot and killed Ropp.

An officer responded to a call at about noon to check the welfare of a man in a vehicle, and a computer check showed he was wanted on an extraditable warrant from Florida. A struggle began between the man and the officer, and the man allegedly pointed a gun at the officer and then fled on foot into a nearby apartment. Officers unsuccessfully attempted to make contact with the man and tried to bring him out with tear gas. Reportedly knowing he was hiding in the attic, officers went in, and they shot and killed the man when he allegedly pointed a gun at police.

Corey Stanley was wanted in a home invasion and assault. He was accused of breaking into a couple's home and beating them with a rock. They found him outside a white sedan parked in a parking lot. Stanley got back into the driver's seat as officers approach. He allegedly drove toward officers, and they shot and killed him.

A 78-year-old man contacted Mitchell County dispatch to report he had been kidnapped at gunpoint and held for 26 hours by an acquaintance, John Roudybush. When officers tried to serve a search warrant at Roudybush's home, he refused to come out. After an hours-long standoff, officers heard a gunshot and found Roudybush dead inside the house of a self-inflicted gunshot.

Police responded around 1:30 p.m. for domestic violence and suicidal thoughts. Officers were told a man inside a condo was considering suicide. As officers arrived, they found the man in the driveway armed with a shotgun. The man went into the attached garage and refused to leave the home. About 1 p.m., after a roughly 25-hour standoff, the man shot and killed himself.

Officers were sent about 12:35 a.m. to an apartment in response to a domestic disturbance, when a woman called 911 to report an argument. Officers were told that the man was armed with a gun. The man allegedly fired at officers. At least one officer shot and killed him.

At 1:35 p.m., deputies came to a home for a welfare check. When deputies arrived, they found a man who threatened them and barricaded himself inside the home. The man reportedly fired several rounds at deputies. After hours of attempted negotiation ended, and responses from the man stopped, deputies went into the home and found the man dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.

Police were executing a search warrant at a home. Someone in the home allegedly shot at them. Robert Richart fired more shots at officers and started a fire inside the home. Richart allegedly exited the home through the garage with a weapon in hand. Officer Eric Strnad shot and killed Richart.

Police responded to reports of a man firing a gun into a vehicle. Prior to arrival, Ahmad Muhammad reportedly left on foot. Police caught up to Muhammad, and Muhammad allegedly pointed a gun at them. Police shot at Muhammad, who fled on foot again.Police caught up to him, and he pointed his gun at them again. Police shot and killed him.

Elwood Dwyer was suspected of stabbing and wounding three people. Police responded to a home and said Dwyer exited armed with a knife and charged at officers. Police shot and killed Dwyer.

Police attempted to stop a man they believed had stolen a truck from Jackson and driven into Clinton. The man reportedly would not stop and evaded police before driving back to Jackson. The man reportedly rammed a police cruiser before crashing. The man allegedly got out of the vehicle and started a fight with an officer. Police shot and killed the man.

Police responded to reports of Matthew Riggs threatening to hurt himself. Police arrived and found Riggs in a vehicle. Police claim they "heard a gunshot" during their encounter with Riggs. An officer shot and killed Riggs.

Police responded to reports of a man with a knife reportedly slashing car tires. Upon arrival, police said Melkon Michaelidis approached them carrying bloody knives. Police reportedly used less-lethal weapons before they shot and killed Michaelidis.

Johnny McGee's mother called police as McGee was experiencing a mental health crisis at her home. McGee's mother maintains he was unarmed at the time of the shooting, while police said McGee charged at them with a screwdriver.

Police said that Kody Marshall, who had been involved in a prior shooting, was then involved in a major accident on the Crosstown Expressway. Police said he immediately fled the accident. Police later found him near a high school, and he reportedly fired at officers. Police returned fire, killing Marshall.

Police responded to a residence following reports of domestic violence. Johnny Gilbert had reportedly left the home before police arrived. Police left and a person called 911 again, stating Gilbert had returned and was acting violently. Police attempted to arrest Gilbert, and said he began to resist. Police said Gilbert took an officer's Taser, at which point an officer shot and killed Gilbert.

Police responded to reports of a person breaking into a residence who was reportedly armed with a knife. LeKenneth Q. Miller reportedly stabbed a woman in the home. Police arrived and shot and killed Miller.

Barry Rigsby was suspected of killing three people. He was shot and killed hours later by state police after holing up at an apartment and firing at sheriff's deputies. He was being sought in connection with the deaths of his wife, Adriana Perry Rigsby, 29; her son, Xavier Perry, 12; and her brother, Joshua Perry, 18.

U.S. deputy marshals were serving a warrant on a person who had two outstanding warrants for armed burglaries and felony firearm charges. According to deputies, while approaching the suspect, he pulled out a firearm and shot and killed himself.

Police responded to reports of a domestic disturbance in which the homeowners wanted an person out of the home. Upon arrival, police encountered Jessica Worsham at the door. Worsham allegedly pulled out a firearm and pointed it at officers. Worsham allegedly shot Deputy Lena Marshall. Another deputy shot and killed Worsham.

Police attempted to pull over a vehicle associated with an aggravated assault, suspected abduction, and suspected DUI. The vehicle reportedly did not pull over and eventually went on the interstate. State police knocked the vehicle off the road, and the vehicle overturned. Amity Jo Grey, 47, was killed on impact. Brian Price, 45, reportedly ran from the vehicle, and troopers eventually caught up to him. A fight reportedly began, and a trooper shot and killed Price.

Officer Caleb Sherman reportedly attempted to stop a vehicle about 2:40 a.m. One of its occupants, allegedly Cory Gene Batt, fired at least one shot, striking Sherman in the leg. Batt was shot and killed in a wooded area near the end of the foot pursuit.

Police were attempting to execute a warrant in connection with a homicide investigation. As officers were executing the warrant, Mark Walker moved into a room of the apartment and shot one of the officers in the lower leg as the officer approached the room. The officers fled outside the apartment, and Walker barricaded himself inside. Around 2 a.m., a fire started in the apartment, and Walker fled the building, discharging a gun as he exited. Officers Eric Voorand of the Manalapan Township Police Department, Daniel Murphy of the Howell Township Police Department, and Omar Akel of the Middletown Township Police Department shot and killed him.

Police responded to a domestic dispute at the Marc at Brookhaven Apartments. After police made multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact the person, police entered the apartment and found the man dead from an apparent self inflicted gunshot.

Police were dispatched to a protection-from-abuse violation. While police were there,Andrew Dzwonchyk reportedly showed up in his vehicle. A struggle began while troopers were attempting to arrest him. Dzwonchyk allegedly drove at and dragged a trooper with the vehicle. Troopers shot and killed Dzwonchyk.

Troopers responded to a car crash and attempted to communicate with a driver. Timothy reportedly shot a dog in the car, and troopers shot and killed him.

Police responded to a report of a person with a weapon. Upon arrival, Angie McFarland allegedly pointed a gun at an officer. The officer shot and killed her.

Around 3:45, an employee of the Pita Way Mediterranean Grill brought a gun to the restaurant, but didn't go inside. The person barricaded themselves inside their car, police responded and the person shot and killed themselves during the standoff.

Dagoberto Jimenez allegedly carjacked an off-duty officer. Police pursued until Jimenez crashed into a school on Amador Avenue, then reportedly shot and killed himself.

Brian Astarita was pulled over by police allegedly for speeding in a gray Jeep Cherokee around 4 p.m. But as the officer approached the car, he fled. The officer pursued Astarita, who rammed the patrol car when she stopped in front of the Jeep. Astarita reportedly went to the back seat to grab a BB gun and walked toward officers on the highway, and officers shot and killed him.

At 11:05 p.m., officers responded to the Garden Walk Apartments upon reports that a person was parked in the lot and sleeping in his vehicle. When officers ran the plate number, the vehicle came back as stolen. When officers arrived, Gerry Cooper failed to comply with commands and drove off, hitting parked vehicles, including two patrol vehicles. An officer with the Gunnison Police Department allegedly was dragged by his vehicle, and police shot and killed Cooper.

Officers responded around 9:39 p.m. for a check person call. Seth Rynio was reported to be intoxicated and causing a disturbance, and police were called after he left a restaurant. A park ranger drove to the east side of Barnes & Noble, where Rynio allegedly shot at the ranger. The park ranger reportedly was hit by several bullets. Two officers shot and killed Rynio.

Police responded to reports of a man reportedly lighting items on fire and throwing them at gas pumps. Upon arrival, a deputy reportedly got in a fight with the man. During the fight, a woman reportedly exited a car with a knife. Police allege the woman stabbed the deputy. The deputy shot at both individuals, killing the woman, Wendy Carolina Flores De Roque.

Isaac Bell was shot after Biloxi police responded to a report of a man threatening people with a knife in a parking lot near Edgewater Mall around 2:30 p.m. A struggle began between Bell and an officer after Bell ran into an apartment complex courtyard. Bell and the officer were taken to a hospital for their injuries. Bell died a week later.

Carlos Ortega, 38, shot and killed Rafael Jeffers, 33, the owner of The Bladi Style barber shop, before being shot dead by an off-duty police officer, who was getting his haircut by another stylist. Less than an hour earlier, he killed Javier Villegas Cotto and injured another, unnamed victim, in two separate attacks nearby. At 3:16 p.m., the unidentified officer was getting his hair cut when Ortega entered with a weapon and fatally shot the owner.

Police responded to a call from code enforcement personnel who were at a home for a property abatement matter. A man allegedly threatened the code enforcement personnel with a firearm. Police shot and killed the man.

Police reportedly observed Brent Boggess driving recklessly and said he attempted to hit a patrol car. Officers stopped Boggess' vehicle. Police alleged that Boggess refused to get out of the car and instead rammed a patrol car. Officer Ken Schaaf shot and killed Boggess.

Deputies responded to a report of a child being taken from their home at knifepoint. Upon arrival, deputies reportedly saw Henry Duncan holding a knife to the child's throat and making threats. The child was released. Deputies shot and killed Duncan.

Police responded to a burglar alarm at a business. Upon arrival, they allegedly were confronted by a person with a weapon. Police shot and killed Bennie Foster.

Christopher James Aikens, 54, a prisoner at Blair County Jail, was to appear in Central Court in Altoona, for a 3:15 p.m. hearing when he allegedly assaulted corrections officer Rhonda Jean Russell and took her gun. An Altoona officer in the court building responded and fired one round at the prisoner, but shot and killed Russell.

Officers responded to a call of a burglary in progress, and when they arrived, they encountered Sylvester Tart, who reportedly barricaded himself in a closet. When Tart was told to come out, he began firing through the door. Officers shot and killed Tart.

Police responded to reports of a man armed with a kitchen knife threatening people. Police shot and killed Ajmal Amani when he allegedly charged at them.

Fred O'Bannon, a construction worker, reportedly asked Keyshaun J. Stewart, 25, to get off the highway because they were about to start working. O'Bannon was sitting in his car on I-264 getting ready to start his shift. An off-duty officer was blocking the expressway at 2:30 a.m. Stewart allegedly shot O'Bannon in the head. He then shot and wounded the officer through his patrol car window, hitting him in the left cheek.

Police responded to reports of a carjacking, caught up to the suspect and pursued.The person allegedly tried to ram a patrol vehicle. Police shot and killed the man.

Deputies were flagged down by a Metro rail patron who told them a man had just been shot on the C-Line Platform at the Metro station. Four deputies spotted the gunman waiting on the platform. He jumped down to the eastbound rail tracks and fired a handgun at the deputies, and the deputies shot and wounded him. The suspect walked up behind Koliba and shot him in the back of his head. Reports of this death are so convoluted it's impossible to tell the sequence of events and whether deputies were present when Koliba was killed.

Officers received a call about a domestic assault outside of town. Two Centerville officers and an Appanoose County sheriff's deputy shot and killed Kevin Arbogast. Details as to what precipitated the killing were withheld by police.

Police performed a welfare check on a man at a home. Police allege Frank Nappa Jr. exited the home with a rifle and pointed it at officers before going back inside. He reportedly came out another two times, and the third time, Nappa allegedly aimed a rifle in their direction. At least one officer shot and killed him.

U.S. Marshals were attempting to serve an arrest warrant. Officers allege the person ran away from officers and produced a firearm. Officers shot and killed the person. The officer who killed the person was a West Covina police officer assigned to the U.S. Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Officers were called about 2:35 p.m., after the suspect allegedly shot Gevork Minissian, 70. Devin Edward Hall allegedly tried to flee from police by jumping into a woman's car and attempting to carjack her. However, the man was unable to steal the car and exchanged gunfire with police before running onto Sunnyslope Avenue. Hall allegedly attempted to carjack a second woman, but again failed to steal the vehicle and held the woman at gunpoint until he was cornered by police. The man exchanged fire with police and was shot and killed.

A man allegedly shot his girlfriend during a domestic dispute. The shooting reportedly happened about 3 a.m. Deputies said the man then barricaded himself inside the home and shot and killed himself.

Officers were surveilling a vehicle that had been mentioned in previous drug investigations. Officers approached the vehicle and came in contact with German Pedraza. Pedraza allegedly pulled out a pistol. While telling Pedraza to put the gun down, an officer shot and killed Pedraza.

Around 11:30 a.m. officers responded to a call about a man with a gun. Patrol officers found a woman with a fatal gunshot wound inside a neighbor's garage. Officers determined that a nearby home was involved. When they approached the house, officers heard what appeared to be a gunshot inside the residence. When they entered the house , they found the man dead of a self-inflicted gunshot.

Police were pursuing a vehicle thought to be involved in an earlier robbery. During the chase, a passenger allegedly shot at officers. Police shot at the vehicle, which crashed. One passenger, Christean "Christy" Ann Dimas, was killed.

Police responded to reports of a domestic dispute with a weapon. Shawn Smith allegedly engaged with an officer. The officer shot and killed Smith. Details as to what precipitated the killing were withheld by police.

Anthony Oliver allegedly shot three people at Kalamazoo bus station. Kalamazoo police arrived about two minutes after the first 911 call. Officers shot and killed Oliver.

Officers responded to a home at around 1:30 p.m. after calls of an armed suspect, who had a protection order against him, was threatening a person. Bradley George Erickson fled from officers who attempted a traffic stop. Officers pursued Erickson, until Forest Lake Officers Jonathan Glader and Matthew Smith and Washington County Sheriff's Deputy Greg Reiter shot and killed him.

Police attempted to stop Dylan Bush as they believed he was driving while intoxicated. Bush reportedly did not stop, police pursued. Bush stopped in a business parking lot. A deputy went in front of the vehicle, and Bush allegedly drove forward, pinning the deputy between Bush's vehicle and a patrol cruiser. The deputy then shot and killed Bush. Bush's vehicle went forward for several hundred feet before crashing into another unoccupied vehicle after Bush was shot.

Police responded to reports of a car burglary. Upon arrival, two men fled. Police caught up to one person who they said was driving a U-Haul truck. The person allegedly drove the U-Haul toward officers. Police shot and killed the man.

Police were called to a construction zone after someone from a state agency reportedly saw a suspicious vehicle on surveillance cameras. As they approached the vehicle, the person allegedly armed himself. Police shot and killed the person. The person was reportedly employed on the construction site and had brought a gun to work after noticing people trespassing on the job site.

Police responded to a report of shots fired at a shopping area. Shortly after, there was a report of an armed robbery, and a man told officers someone had pointed a gun at him. Police encountered an employee of the Merwin Liquors store who said Kelley was alone inside. Police confronted Kelley and shot and killed him.

Police responded to a domestic violence call. Upon arrival, they encountered two people who had been shot. Arthur Gilliam allegedly shot at officers. Police shot and killed Gilliam.

Police responded to a disturbance/weapon theft call at a home. Police reportedly found a person in a back bedroom and attempted to get the individual to come out. Officers entered the room, and the person allegedly produced a handgun and fired at officers. Police shot and killed him.

Edward Gatling reportedly shot two deputies with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office. Police later found Gatling hiding in the woods after a caller reported a suspicious person. Police shot and killed Gatling.

Police were looking for Anei Gabriel Joker in relation to a rape and robbery case. Upon arrival, police found Joker in an SUV outside of a convenience store, along with an infant in the vehicle. Joker reportedly refused to exit the vehicle or release the child to police. Joker later released the infant from the SUV, but Joker remained inside. Joker left the vehicle and shot two officers. Police shot and killed Joker.

Police responded to reports of a man with a gun. Upon arrival, police claim a man holding two guns approached them and began firing. Two officers shot and killed Brian Howard.

Pilot Rock police requested help from the sheriff's office in locating and checking on a 28-year-old man. Police pinged his phone, which showed he was in the Irrigon area. Deputies reported seeing the man driving 12 mph over the speed limit. Deputies stopped the vehicle on Paterson Ferry Road, and as three deputies approached the vehicle, they heard a gunshot. The man had shot and killed himself.

Officers reportedly smelled a "strong odor of cannabis" coming from Curtis Pugh's Nissan. When officers pulled up to the vehicle, Pugh allegedly sped off with two passengers inside, swerving through traffic and running stop signs and red lights before driving onto a sidewalk and killing Julia Callaway.

Officers were dispatched on a report of a suspicious vehicle just after 11 a.m. Police realized the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Westminster. When more police arrived, Southard said Nicholas Vilarina, 25, allegedly rammed a squad car, and police pursued until Vilarina allegedly ran a stop sign and struck another car. A female passenger in that other car, Dulce Maria Castro Perez, 21, was killed. Police said the driver in the stolen car continued on Bierstadt, lost control of the car then hit a pedestrian, Gustavo Mosqueda Ortega, 25, who was also killed.

A Missoula officer was on patrol around 11:37 p.m. While stopped at a traffic light, the officer noticed a white Honda Civic driving at a high speed -- the speed was estimated to be around 60 or 70 mph in a 25 mph zone. Police attempted to make a traffic stop, but the car made a quick turn, and the officer lost sight of the car. Police located the car, and when police approached, the driver, Kemari D. Parks, 20, sped away through the parking lot. Officers saw a second person sitting in the front passenger seat. Officers continued to pursue the vehicle --which reportedly was traveling over 60 miles per hour. Parks nearly struck several other cars as police continued to pursue, driving into oncoming traffic and running through red lights. The car struck a parked car, causing Parks' car to strike several more cars. The passenger side of Parks' car hit the parked vehicle, causing significant damage. Parks got out of the car and fled on foot. Officers caught up to him as he was trying to jump a fence into the backyard of a house. He refused officer orders to get on the ground, who deployed his Taser, which prompted Parks to sit on the ground with his hands in the air. The passenger in Parks' car to have suffered ultimately fatal injuries in the crash. Parks was charged with one count of vehicular homicide while under the influence, one count of criminal endangerment and one count of fleeing from or eluding a peace officer resulting in serious bodily injury or death, all felonies.

At 3:45 a.m., a trooper attempted a traffic stop on a Dodge Charger traveling 72 mph in a posted 55 mph zone. The driver of the Dodge refused to stop and fled. The driver of the Dodge lost control on the Route 123 ramp, ran off the right side of the road and struck the Jersey wall. The vehicle then rode up the cement wall and struck the bottom of the overpass for the I-95 Express Lanes. Troopers pulled the driver and passenger from the vehicle before it became engulfed in flames. The driver 24-year-old Curtis Armstead and the passenger was 23-year-old Miguel D. Jenkins. Both were killed.

About 1 a.m., troopers attempted to stop a white Infiniti sedan that Jahreese R. Watson-Ricks, 18, was driving at a high speeds. Watson-Ricks got off the interstate. He lost control of the car, striking trees and subsequently catching fire. Watson-Ricks attempted to flee on foot but was captured. His passenger was killed. Watson-Ricks was charged with felony homicide, involuntary manslaughter, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, reckless driving and felony eluding, and hit and run, among other charges.

A police officer tried to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation. The pursuit reportedly was called off shortly before the pursued vehicle caused a deadly multi-car crash about two miles away. Sean Donahue was an innocent motorist killed in the crash.

An officer in a marked car tried to pull over a driver because the car was believed to be stolen. The driver fled from the traffic stop. Officers chased him before reportedly stopping the pursuit. When the driver entered an intersection, his vehicle broadsided another vehicle, rolling the victim's vehicle and killing Joe Gold. Another vehicle was hit, and the 62-year-old rideshare driver and 19-year-old passenger in the backseat were injured. The alleged driver, 37-year-old James Michael Kramer, survived the crash.

At approximately 10:25 p.m., Town of Montgomery Police and Village of Walden Police responded to a 911 call of an erratic driver. The vehicle, a 2018 Jeep Wrangler, was observed on Main Street by Walden Police and was subsequently stopped. As officers approached the vehicle, the operator, Joann Schields, 52, fled and after a short pursuit struck a 2013 Toyota Rav4 head on. The driver of the Toyota, Elizabeth Bello, 35, was killed. The two passengers in the vehicle, ages 16 and 6 were injured. Schields was killed.

Around 4 a.m., dispatchers received a call about people in a Jeep SUV threatening to shoot the person calling 911. Police tried to stop a Jeep SUV, but the driver allegedly fled. Police pursued the SUV until it crashed, ejecting the driver, Shawn Michael Passwater. Passwater was killed. A passenger in the vehicle was also injured.
